I just noticed this, which makes me wonder, what company manufactures the TLX barebones? And where would I find noticeable counterparts of this notebook?
EDIT: AHA! The Power Pro I 17:7! I just noticed that. So the two flagship notebooks (in my mind) from the two companies I trust are the same. Sweet.

I wish Falcon did the Sager 5793 chassis, I love the FNWs paint jobs.

Yeah voodoo is like the total opposite...literally had to sell a kidney...
-
Are you sure the TLX is Clevo? I see no evidence of that. Can anyone show me any resources on this? I'd like to find out.

Read the Clevo Guide

The Falcon Northwest TLX is not a Clevo.
Its a rebranded MSI MS-1719
Here are the barebones:

Here is the system fully configured:

ZO MY GOD!!!! the 1719 with their paint job and 4gb of ram and 200gb hdd with a t7300 cpu is 4100.00$$$$$$ WTF??? simply wow
-
its under $2000 for the same spec and custom paint at XoticPC.... LOL.
-
Looks like this one. Although I noticed it's been changed over to the 45 nm chipset, which PowerPro has switched over to as well. Is Falcon NW using an older model?
-
they just have not updated the bios and they are still using the older cpu's lol.. that is INSANE!!!!!!!! IMO anyone that buys that at 4100$ is out of their mind for a 8600gt based system
-
There are a lot of people that would buy that.
*gets shotgun* -
I'm not sure it's so much insane as smart. Falcon tries to keep their systems solid. They seem to jump into things later than everyone else. Possibly waiting for the bugs to work out. I emailed Falcon. They specifically mentioned they were waiting on BIOS updates from MSI, and they should have that in a month or so.
Bottom line, I still trust Falcon. Insanity has its perks.
They're also probably compensating from some failed burn-in's? I would imagine that zero dead pixel policy for 1-3 years is costing them a lot. I'd say if anything else, they at least do a good job of transferring all there extra quality costs over to the customer. You go overpriced quality-control. -

"You guys know me and "bang for the buck".... and VoodooPC is nowhere close to that."
Yeah right, I think Voodoo has a great bang for the buck.
I just had my Voodoo signed by Rahul Sood, the owner of Voodoo, so now its worth about 10x as much. I wouldnt sell my system for $1million.
I love my baby. This is why I put a $1400 paint job on it.
Too bad the paint job Xotic gives is no where near the quality of the paint job voodoo gives.
Kaiserpheonix really did sell one of his kidneys for his Omen, it is in one of his threads on the Voodoo Mutthaboards.

Still dude, the prices are insane. But if you have the money, then you might as well get the best one out there, both looks and power.
Be it VooDoo , Sager, Alienware , Dell etc.
Personally, I`d choose a 9262 and paint it invisible
Sager NP9262 same as Falcon Fragbook DRX
