I ordered my 1st gaming laptop, the Sager NP9370, on Nov 20. I thought I could handle the wait and wanted the cash discount, so I mailed Xotic PC the check. It's Dec 7 now, and after ages of waiting, my order is finally at phase 2. I didn't add much to the configuration, so it should go right over to phase 4. I know for phase 2 it says 5-16 business days, and 4-9 for phase 4. Just wanted to know how long other people had to wait for phase 2 and 4. I know there are some people who had to wait even longer, but I just wanted know some fun facts. Thanks.

    Dec 11
Yay! Just got an email from Xotic PC saying that my laptop is being sent to Nebraska to avoid CA tax. Should be here soon now. Can't wait! :)

You wont get a statistical ly significant example on this forum. Waiting for a machine myself and you have to try to distract yourself ;)

Yea, trying to distract myself by doing other stuff and this is one of them. It's hard not to think about it, but at least now that it's at phase 2, I only need to wait another 2 weeks or so. :)

Haha, I have one too! Although I hate mine. After 1 year it started shutting off by itself, an even after paying 300 to get it fixed, it still has the same problem. Even internet browsing causes my Ace to overheat lol. Decided to do Insanity so I stop thinking about when my laptop is going to be here. xD

I got the 5935G, added an FX1800M to it. I had to juggle things to get it to overclock, but it's not too bad.

I wish there was a locally available HD6770M as it walks all over the FX1800M, but I would have had to wait as long as the new machine to get it :/

We've been seeing around 7-12 for Sager build times, shipping will all depend on where we're shipping to. If there are no additional XPC services on it they will ship directly from California.

Ummm I'm a soon to be NP9150 owner and just wondering if the build time takes longer than usual because of the holiday season on XoticPC? It's a week since I placed an order and even i'm having a hard time distracting myself hehe it's also my first high performance laptop... :)

The build times are little longer because of the larger amount of orders then normal for the holidays. It's not an Xotic PC thing though its a Sager thing. Any Sager resellers actually have Sager build and ship the computer, so it doesn't really matter who you order it from as its all built at Sager. It would only need to come to us if you did any of the XPC Services like Overclocking or custom skin.

Modding the cooling to avoid heat reducing the longevity of the gpu ? I read that unlike desktops, where I could always OC and have a more-than-satisfying cooling, notebook OC often ends up "using" the gpu much faster because of the cooling not intended to support oc'd cards. :-( And lol with your OC to the gpu, you might reach a gtx 680. :p

Sager usually estimates 3-7 business days for the build time but during the holidays there are a lot more orders going through so build times do take longer. The 7-12 does have some waiting time for it to get worked on.

ok here are some stats on a recent order, will update as soon as I get an update for it.

initiated the order online at XoticPC on 11/26
    got a quote on 11/27
check sent directly from bank through bill pay 11/27 (I picked the secure payment option)
added a keyboard later to be charged to my credit card ~11/28
went to phase 2 on 12/03

    it has been there since.

Ill reach past some of the slower stock 680 desktops yes.

My machine will have new thinner thermal pads, a clean application of IC diamond and i'll modify the fan tables on it too and make them more aggressive.

I like my 15.6" sized machines too much I think!

Plus the kind of power bricks to give you the power room to do that get a bit silly, two 300W bricks? That weighs most of the 15.6" system.

Couldn't you order 1 600w brick ? Even though it's very probable the 1 600 is in fact 2*300 in a converter box... But they must be huge (I was like ? when I realized half of the weight of my package was due to the power brick - no other ac deserves as much this name). Btw I'm reading 15.6", so I guess you ordered a p150. Are you sure you're gonna need the two bricks ? 1 300 is enough to oc a bit a SLI p370 :p.

They dont make single 600w bricks. For any decent ocing I would recommend the dual supply.

Woah, suddenly a bunch of people joined in! :) Nice to know the laptop will be shipped soon. I'm expecting it to arrive in 2 weeks or so. Just like Thundercast, I have finals this week, and it has helped keeping the laptop issue out of my head. I wanted to start my winter vacation with the Sager, but I can wait a bit more.

    i7-3630QM
    AMD Radeon HD 7970M 2gb
    8GB - DDR3 1600MHz
    240 Intel SSD 330 series(Bought it for ~140 during Black Friday) + 750gb hdd
    Bigfoot Networks Killer™ Wireless-N 1202 + Bluetooth 4.0 (Dual Band)
    Backlit keyboard

My friends are so jelly. xD

So if I were to order a stock 9150 from you guys with rush production, would that mean Sager will rush the production or does the rush production only regard XPC Services/installs?

I'm not 100% sure, but I would think that "rush production" would mean that Sager will rush their production time. I don;t think think it would affect anything Xotic PC does to your 9150.

A bit of update, so I guess initially the laptop would be ship direct from Sager but instead it went to XoticPC, so they told me that they would upgrade the keyboard since it'll be shipped there anyways, and XoticPC turned it around pretty quick so I am expecting it Monday!

went to phase 2 on 12/03
    *update*
    phase 3 on 12/11
    shipped 12/13

Lolz, exactly what happened to me! Sager company itself is only 30 minutes North from my house, but to avoid CA tax, it was sent to Xotic PC. Checked the UPS, and it will arrive by Friday, end of day. Can't wait! :)
And dang, what a BEAST laptop! xD

Had mine for a week, and Oh, My, Gosh! It is AMAZING! 100% worth every single dollar I spent on it! Jumped from dirt cheap Acer to Sager, and I'm loving this beast! On my Acer, Skyrim lagged so much, even at lowest resolution that I couldn't play. On my Sager, I can play Ultra with mods such as ENB and Skyrim HD - 2k textures with NO LAG! Havent checked the actual fps, but pretty sure it's in the 50-60 area. Also loving the keyboard; still getting used to it, but it is a really nice keyboard. The beast is big, but I don't mind, since I use it on the desk, not my lap. lol It's gonna be a bit until you get yours, but once you get it, you'll love it. Happy holidays! :)
