Hi, my name is Kevin and I recently purchased a NP9370 that is Sager branded.
I feel that the sub woofer that is installed on the machine is sub-par and barely noticeable especially when comparing it to my friends Asus G75 from best buy.
Also the sound quality is fine, except that the max volume that the computer can go to is not all that high. Its actually quite low when comparing it to other computers.

Does anyone else have these issues?

Yep, I know exactly what you mean. I recently purchased one myself. Just from my own observation, it seems like the audio out needs a stronger amplified (if it has one at all). Since I primarily use headphones, I picked up an Asus Xonar U3. Costs about $40 and its USB. Talk about a world of difference

If I was to buy a 17" notebook again, I would wait to see what Asus will have, but I don't expect the G76 until maybe August 2013. IF they have a 780M or something close to it, that's what I would get. The G75 is a really well built machine, better than anything Clevo has. It's just underpowered for it's price, and the back hump is still huge. But even though the G75 is the thinnest and likely lighest 17" gaming machine right now, jeez, it's still monstrous.

hi curl2k1 thank for the reply, and yeah that would be a better solution for the sound issue. i'm not bothered with the sound the machine produces I was just wondering if something was wrong with my machine or is it supposed to be as weak as it is.

hulawafu77 -> a G76 actually sounds pretty nice, is that a rough guess as to when it comes out?

We'll probably see them announced around April/May and arriving in June coinciding with Haswell and new GPUs.

As Derek mentioned, new series/models should be slated for Summer of this year, proceeding the release of the Haswell Intel chips. And I've heard good things about that Asus Xonar USB sound card as well - it gets compared to the Creative X-Fi Go as well, if you're interested in an alternate audio solution.
