    1) Does Sager have the 4 SODIMMs easily accessible or is it like the Alienware 18 where you have to teardown the whole laptop just to get to the 2 other bloody SODIMMs for a RAM upgrade?

    2) On XOTIC PC and Powernotebooks.com they don't have an SLI option for the 980M but On YouTube I saw that they do sell this laptop with an SLI options so I guess it has 2 slots for the GPU? then why on earth do Power Notebooks and XOTIC PC not include that option?

    3) If I were to buy this laptop, do you think either XOTIC PC or Powernotebooks can ell it to me barebone? like no HDDs, no RAM, no OS, just the laptop, screen, video cards and CPU? I ask because I already have the SSDs in my Alienware 18 (check sig) so I can move them there and later on I can add the M2 mSATA SSDs right?

    4) How many M2 mSATA slots does it have?

    5) does it have the normal mSATA slot where I can use my 840 EVO mSATA or it only takes the newer M2?

    6) If I don't select an OS as I said, would I get a Windows 7 / Windows 8.1 driver disk or I'm left to download from the web if that's an option from SAGER

    7) Will SAGER include Windows 10 drivers when it comes out? if they don't, I don't wanna buy this

    8) As a NBR Member, is there any special discount for us?

Hello, I am sorry I don't have ALL the answers but I can say I know this laptop doesn't have the option for SLI, the NP9377sm-a has SLI 980m's or 970m's if thats what you are looking for but this laptop has a mobile processor the np9772 has a desktop processor with the option to have 1 gpu the 970m or 980m, the ram for both is 2 under the keyboard and 2 under the bottom panel, not sure if they will sell barebones I think only they can answer that question both have people on this form so ask them or I would recommend just emailing them both directly the NP9377sm-a which can have SLI doesn't have m.2 at all it has 2 spots for mSata SSD's and the NP9772 I believe has 2 m.2's 1 4lanes 1 2 lanes I believe but don't quote me on that one if you don't get an OS they will both send you drivers for win7 and win8....and yes of course they will have drivers for windows 10 also yes I believe most vendors MAY offer a small discount to NBR members again email them directly for more info good luck I LOVE, I mean LOVE my laptop best decision I have made in years lol

Ahhhh darn! both won't suite my needs then. I wanted a laptop with a desktop CPU + 980Ms in SLI! :(

I hope the new SAGERs will have that.

As to 8: I don't think XoticPC is offering anything to people on here anymore, but if you email to check on that you should get a reply to your email within a day or two. So far emailing whoever replies directly with a further response doesn't seem to get me answers to further questions or an any indication they actually saw or read emails direct sent to them though, so for any further emails you may still just have to send them to the same sales department main email address you'll send your first one to.

    1) They don't have a 980M SLI option, not even a single 980M option

    2) Their prices will require me to sell my car to buy that laptop

I tried their online chat support and was waiting forever. Since I won't be able to have a desktop CPU + dual 980Ms in SLI mode, then there's no point emailing them even at this point until SAGER releases some new laptops :(

Actually with the Panther 5SE you can get dual 980m's and a desktop cpu....not sure what you are looking at, and I mean thats the price for something like that, might be the reason they are the only vender I know that sells it..

I'm afraid your expectations may be a bit extreme. What on earth are you gonna do with that much power? Two 980m's are only necessary for maybe 4k ultra detail gaming. Otherwise I get the impression just one MXM card version with a desktop i7 is enough to do just about anything you'd use any normal gaming desktop for. Honestly, if you need that much power you're better off building a high performance desktop in a smaller form factor case, I would think. You couldn't use it on your lap, but a laptop that powerful wouldn't like your lap either, or being more than 10 feet from a power outlet.

Strange I could have swore they use to have the 980m's also strange....email them about it if you really are interested and remember to change it from Canadian money to USD, there is no reason this couldn't have 980m's in SLI...so I dunno whats up with that email them...

All I do is surf the net. My 4940MX is too slow for my liking and so are my dual GTX 780Ms, benchmarks wise I mean. I play my benchmarks, that's it and am obsessed with high performance.

To be honest with you, my Alienware 18 has been sitting on my desk since I bought it, I never take it out, maybe I should build a desktop RIG as you say. I just love the portability of having a laptop for IF I ever wanna take it out.

I love the Alienware Area 51 as it has a nice compact case

Your drive to seek performance just for the sake of it is admirable to me, though I can't quite say why. But you will never be satisfied with a laptop. Also, if you do build a desktop you might want to get a good sized case so you can do the works and do it right (your focus on performance fits better with giving the components space to breathe and yourself options to keep them incredibly cool, instead of cooping them up in an unnecessarily tiny case): SLI desktop card setup, high grade CPU, power source, and motherboard with liquid cooling solutions throughout. I imagine you could get a lot of, if not all of that without going very far above 2000k, unless you go for the super expensive enthusiast parts. And you can get whatever monitor(s) you want to go with it. Can also stagger your component purchases to make building the beast play better with your income, whatever it may be. Upgrading or changing out anything should be fairly simple, and many desktop parts have better warranties (2 or more years or even life) than the 1 year standard bull laptops come with.

At this time we do not have any NBR specials going on. Emails should be replied to within 24hrs, over the weekend it may be a day longer.
But I did want to ask you about the email replies you've mentioned. Normally they should go directly back to the same rep everytime. Is this not what is happening, is it going back to the sales email? I just want to find out exactly so we get things straitened out.

This should not happen either, I do apologize about that. We're in the office from 9-5:30 M-F and chats should be accepted quickly. I'll be sure to address this

When I first sent an email to ask some questions to the sales email, the rep who replied through their own company email answered the last question on my neatly organized list, and that's it. I thought "Okay, maybe he just derped or was in a rush and not thinking straight." So I replied directly to his email and politely asked for answers to my other questions, which I copied into that email as well. Three days went by and no reply. Sent a rephrased email with them to the main sales email, and this time of course I got a reply through the same sales rep. And again I tried to ask the sales rep directly a further couple questions and they've never replied. Do I really have to always send emails to the main sales one? I haven't resent that email to the main sales one yet because I was still doing further research anyways.

It can help a lot of you want to drive a high refresh rate monitor at home, but at over 9.5kg with power bricks you certainly wont forget it's in your bag ;)

You were always right. Not sure what your first link was about, but you just have to click on the Eurocom Panther 5 from the home page and you'll be able to configure it with the desktop CPU + SLI 980m. He'll still probably have to sell his car to get it though :p.

You should be able to reply directly to the email once its been answered from the sales email. Would you send me a PM please so we don't take the post too far off topic.

I don't think you need a new laptop or desktop if all you do is surfer the internet maybe upgrade you internet speed because you should have no problem going from site to site, I can do that on my REALLY old dell laptop perfectly fine after I added a lil ram and its like over 12 years old, maybe it is going slow because of your internet speeds what speed internet do you have?

With all due respect, I think Matrix Leader6 is simply a very pure enthusiast. It's not about what he does with the hardware, it's about what it CAN do, whether he chooses to do it or not. It's not a very practical or perhaps even possible view from the standpoint of many people perhaps, but if it makes him happy, then he's obviously free to pursue performance simply for the sake of it. Of course, I shouldn't speak for him; and, if I'm mistaken in my understanding here, then my apologies Matrix Leader6.

You hit the nail on the head and I don't mind you speaking for me because you took the words out of my mouse.

I know people who have laptops with a 680GTX or even older and are still content. My laptop can do any task I throw at it or game but as you say, I just enjoy having the best and latest, it's a disease, and an expensive one.

I was about to pull the trigger on this laptop but I think I'll wait a bit until Sager release a refresh or update and Windows 10 ships so I get it all in a ready bundle out of the box rather than having to find drivers and such

Now would you guys go with XOTIC PC or Powernotebooks and why? what are the pros and cons of each?

Glad I did, and I'm not sure I really know the pros and cons. Xotic PC is high recommended here, but a few other resellers seem pretty similar. As in having about the same prices and all. LPCDigital, for example, as Bullrun said. I'd have to look into PowerNotebooks.
