Just ran a test on 3DMark for my Sager NP9773.....( http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/7361172?)

Will someone tell me why the hell the score is almost 3k points lower than the old Alienware gaming laptop PC which has lower specs and should be a WAY less powerful computer? ( http://www.3dmark.com/fs/3711027)

Is something wrong with my computer?

well your gpu was only running at 540mhz looks like it was thermal throttling ??? would be my guess why

How would I fix this? My cooling is pretty decent, running max fans I hit about 75 C absolute maximum.....

Have a look in gpu-z in the monitoring tab, leave it running over the benchmark and see.

Make sure you are in high performance mode and plugged in.

Check your power options and make sure it is set to High Performance as Meaker mentioned. This fixes things most of the time.

Everything was set to high performance, fans, PSU (330w), everything....I had Skype open and Steam was downloading a game I think at the time of the benchmark, could this have affected GPU performance?

A couple other things I noticed:

    1) This laptop has G-Sync, could that have affected performance at all?
    2) For some reason it says in the 3DMark test linked in the OP that the Graphics Card is not recognized, and that the drivers for the Graphics Card are not recognized...do I have to install some kind of special driver for this thing to work?
    3) Both the core clock and the memory clock of the Alienware Benchmark above are running WAY higher than mine...(1.3k+ MHZ as opposed to my 540 MHZ)...Did he overclock or something? As far as I know my temps are fine and there should be no reason for my GPU to be throttling...I'll run some more tests later, but for now I'm open to more suggestions....
    4) My RAM is supposed to be running a 1866 MHZ but it says in the benchmark that its running at 889 Mhz....thoughts?

Oh LOL, I had not realised you were comparing to Mr.Fox (I was on my phone). Mr.Fox has a massively overclocked GPU that you wont come close to with a stock clocked GPU. Your score is fine, 3dmark is just not detecting your clocks properly.

Your ram is running at 933mhz or 1866 DDR.

I'm afraid you are simply running into all the traps for new players.

Well it takes a lot of work and tweaking to get to that point but getting most of that performance increase is possible, however how are your games? They should be pretty sweet regardless.

For the most part they are amazing, with performance close to a 970 GTX. Not only does the laptop come with G-Sync, the screen refresh rate was also upped to a display of 75 Hz (as opposed to 60) which looks REALLY sharp. I am having a bit of an annoying problem though with a few of my games....in games like League and Blacklight, the FPS is kept well about 120+ FPS (uncapped) 90% of the time but for some odd reason it will drop to 50, 40, and even 30 FPS at random moments, causing a brief moment of extreme lag. What makes no sense is that these spikes do not happen during graphically demanding occasions (intense firefights, battles, etc.) but are completely random...I thought for a second that it might be overheating but the absolute hottest my laptop has gotten (with auto, not max fans) was 85 C....really getting annoying, these FPS drop spikes...

Keep xtu and gpuz (on monitoring tab) open during a session, when the fps drop happens minimise the game and have a look at what all the chips were doing at that moment. Post up the graphs if you are unsure.

yah you are just going to have to do some hardware monitoring and find out what basiclly everything is doing at the time your fps drop and the game is stuttering so do exactly what Meaker said, he knows what hes talking about and helped me out quite a bit when I was newer to "sager/clevo" laptops lol and actually still helps me out anytime I have a "newb" moment. :)

I think they mean modify your own INF as some people do when the bios does not fully support the new GPU but that does not really need to be done in this machine.
