Well I'll tell you that I don't own the 4880 but I can tell you that the Sagers are made by clevo and if you want some decent prices and great customer service take a look at www.powernotebooks.com.
Anyhow, I own the 3790 and I am loving it.
Here are the specs
15.4" WUXGA (1920x1200) LCD w/ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 w/128MB DDR
2.0GHz "Dothan" Intel® Pentium® Processor M w/2,048k L2 On-die Cache
1,024MB (1 SODIMM) PC2700 DDR333 Memory
100GB Ultra ATA/100 Seagate Momentus 5400.2 Hard Drive at 5,400 RPM
Combo 8X DVD+/-R/RW/CD-RW (2.4x DVD+R DL) Drive w/Softwares
Built-in Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200 802.11g/b LAN
Built-in Bluetooth Wireless
12-cell Smart Li-ion Battery
I have played Everquest, Guild Wars and UT2004 on this machine it they play very well.
My battery time runs about 3+ hours just web surfing or working on documents and 1.5+ hours playing games
It is a very stable laptop as I have had very little trouble out of it except for the intel wireless card from in which I am currently trouble shooting right now. From what I have found the problems I am having are only driver problems from intel but their is a beta release that is supposed to fix the problems.
The only cons that I have found is that the screen could be brighter, but the resolution is super.
The shortcut buttons on the front get very annoying then you are laying in bet leaning the bottom front of the laptop against your stomach and the sound from it isn't super, it sounds like a laptop even with your headphones on.
Othen then that it is a premo laptop. I am a computer techition and work on laptops and PCs every day and this thing has been really handy with all the features that it has, the reliability and battery time.
It is a little heafty but hey, if you want performance without the weight of a desktop replacement this is the one.
That other one you were looking at looked pretty promissing too, but trust me, the wide screen is nice and bear in mind that if you look at a laptop with the new PCI express chipset that your battery time will fall a little more shy, but that's new technoligy for ya tell they come up with a way to make up for the extra power consumtion.
Anyhow man. Let me know if you have any other questions. I'll book mark this and check back later.
