I do not know why but my sager will not start up.

I press the power button the blue light turns on for a second and then goes out.

So then i take out the battery. plug in the A/C power adapter. same results. the blue light will turn on for a second then go out. I tried many different outlets. and I also made sure the cables for the A/C power adapter were securely fastened. I don't know what is wrong.

I hope you guys can help.

The thing wont turn on long enough for the bios to load...

I'm pretty sure it doesn't pass POST (Power On Self Test). If you can, listen for any beeps you might hear some. If not, you need to contact whoever you bought it from and get them to replace or fix it for you. It's a new system, even without warranty it's still a Dead On Arrival, so I should think you'd have no problems getting it replaced.

yeah. there is no beeping or anything.

I contacted powernotebooks.com and they noted the problem and advised me to talk to sager tech support.

the tech support guy said that he thinks the motherboard is gone.. :( but luckily i have a little over a week before my warranty ends. hehhe

I was surprised that Powernotebooks.com and sager tech support have really good customer support. I thought i would be on the phone all day talking to a machine to direct my calls for 30 mins before i could speak to a human that might be able to help me. but everyone was so kind and knowledgeable.

hopefully this will continue and my laptop will get fixed without headache.
