Did you install the synaptic drivers? You can adjust trackpad settings there.

You need Synaptic drivers v16 for the scrolling to work in Windows 8. I personally use 16.2.16.2.

On mine, scrolling (on a webpage, etc) is done with two fingers on the touchpad, up and down. And for whatever reason, it scolls opposite in Win8 (at least for me). Two fingers slid up on the touchpad will scroll down the page (like you're pushing a piece of paper upward, so you can see further down on the page).

I'm still getting used to it, but I like the 2-finger scroll better than touchpads I've used that have a side area of the touchpad for scrolling, which didn't work well on most laptops I've tried it on.

Sorry to revive an old thread, I just received my NP9150 and have installed windows 8 64bit with UEFI. It boots up in seconds on the mSATA drive so I am pleased. I found the latest driver (v16.2.10.12) from the Sager website and I can get two finger scroll to work, but not one finger that uses the scroll zones to the right and bottom of the touch pad. When I installed the 16.2.16.2 version from the link above a lot of options that are in the 16.2.10.12 version are gone, including the two finger scroll, BUT the one finger scroll works!

is there something wrong with my computer?

    is there another way?

    thanks!

If you go into the settings, you can change that too. It's called reverse scrolling or something. That's just because that's how it is on Apple, so I guess Synaptics thinks us Windows folks wish we were using Apple's candy crap.
