    Hey all,

So I have this 3 year old laptop and it was in my bookbag when it was raining slush outside. It got a bit damp when I took it out and after some cursory drying I turned it on (I'm not a smart man), Everything seemed to work perfectly I even let it sleep through the night then after playing some games. In the morning I used it again no problems but after booting up a game it suddenly just shut down. No burning smell and the laptop was not hot. I noticed that my AC charger light will darken if I plug it in to my laptop now so its not getting any power. Tried with battery and no battery same thing. Im guessing the motherboard got damaged and I probably have to replace it if I want to salvage this laptop.

This is just my hypothesis after reading up on the internet but wondering if people here have any advice or other explanations. Thanks!

    Try a different PSU first.

Umm... what laptop do you actually have? A P150HM? The SM models are only a year and 4 months old.

But yeah, try a new PSU and if not... well. Might be time for a replacement mobo or a new laptop.
