Sager Special Promotion for NP8660 and NP5796
Sager and Intel Help You Save Your Hard-Earned Dollars
Here at Sager we do everything we can to give you the best value for your money because we realize times are tough and you have to stretch your dollars farther than ever before. Our reasonably priced notebooks give you the latest and greatest features at a cost that is bearable. However, we know there are plenty of other expenses out there that are not nearly as reasonable. Of course we have all felt the pinch of rising gas prices and the cost associated with fueling up has reached a level that many simply cannot afford.
With that in mind, Sager has partnered with Intel to give away Limited qty. of gas cards valued at $25.00 each to help offset some of the cost of buying fuel. These cards will be provided first come first serviced to who order the NP5796 or NP8660 units. Keep in mind, the NP5796 will be available on July 15 and the NP8660 can be pre-ordered at that date with an expected delivery in early August. Our supply of gas cards is limited so be sure to order your unit as soon as possible to take advantage of this special offer provided by Sager and Intel.
Again, we thank you for your business and we are proud to be able to partner with Intel to provide you with yet another way to save your hard-earned dollars. We value our customers and we hope you will continue to choose Sager as your first option for quality notebook computers.

-
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
^--^
Sure...just ask for it in the Special Instructions/Promotion Code box in the Shopping Cart...shoot...ask for 2
-
LoL.... I would like to see you guys ship out some frozen burritos with the notebooks...
-
Justin@XoticPC Company Representative
Might see the UPS Guy chomping on it when they deliver the notebook
lol
-
lol $25? That will help me fill a quarter tank of gas...I suppose it's better than nothing though.
-
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
What you would see is all the dogs in the neighborhood following the UPS truck
-
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
So, you have an SUV eh?
-
4.60 a gallon sucks
-
8 cylinder f-150. close enough. man, i gotta thank the big G for a company truck though. i spend about $100-150 a month in gas in the f-150.
-
Justin@XoticPC Company Representative
@minkang
Here in Nebraska we are right at $4
-
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
I can't even fill mine up...when you pre-authorize the credit card it limits the charge at most gas stations to $100.
My tank is 30 gallons...you can do the math...well, at least some of you, er, I mean some of us
-
Just out of curiosity, I know Donald said that the new Intel wifi cards will arrive August 4th which is right around the time that the pre-ordered NP8660s will start arriving at people's doors. Will the pre-orders include the new wifi cards?
-
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
That's because you have all that corn up there...
-
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
The August 4th date for the wireless cards seems to have changed. -
Changed to.......later I'm assuming? lol
-
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
No.
A more complete answer would have been the NP8660 won't be shipping until early August, and the Intel 5300 WiFi cards will already be shipping by then.
For ONCE Intel is going to be able to delivery slightly ahead of schedule. -
Oh wow, very impressive. So the first batch will already have the 5300 cards.
-
Yep living in NY with the high taxes sucks
-
even worse in the city.
-
I think the where I live has it hardest for gas prices....
I am trying my best not to travel too much.
I just paid $4.70 for one gallon for regular..... which is nuts because thats the cheapest in my area.
I am glad I got a 4-cyl car, although I wish I can afford to convert it to hydrogen. -
4.70 for regular WOW..
-
so since i just ordered the 5793 from xotic i get a $25 gas card? sick lol
-
LOL $25 won't even last me a week, but well, better than nothing.
-
hey it covers my shipping pretty much w/ the discount for being a student :0
-
>.< 25$ is a little less than a 1/4 of a tank for me.
at least I can still find gas for 3.99$ out here in montana.
-
Living in NYC sometimes feels like being a pledge at a hazing party for a frat that's got itself into the movie Groundhog Day - repeatedly being told by City Council to bend over and grab your ankles.
-
this is a hint at good news me thinks!!!
-
7.35$ (for 98 RON, cheapest price I could find) a gallon here. You're all doing fine with your 4-5$ a gallon in the US.
-
Im from Israel... Although Im one of the reasons you pay so much for gas, I will probably wont be able to use this gas crad thingi here... right? :X
So can i have the 25$ off the shipment cost?
its gas after all....
And BTW - its 7 Shekels a liter here... Devide by 3.5 to get dollars ,multiply by 3.5 to get a Gallon, and here you go... 7$... -
Pretty lame if this is the only discount. It is a good start - but hopefully there will be further discounts on tuesday.
Next question is does the gas card only apply to a specific chain of gas stations? (wondering who won the contract from Intel/Sager) -
You have to realize that these guys are not making more than 2-3% of profit per unit.
Other resellers that re-brand the unit with a custom paint job, stickers, pretty lights [if even that]... charge a lot more and has margin headroom, which they can supposedly give promotion to. -

If you guys across the pond are having trouble stomaching $4.60 a gallon please take a moment to feel for us in the UK.....I paid £1.19 a litre yesterday, that's $10.7 a gallon
-
Too true, Neil. It's costing me that too at my local garage. £30 to fill my tank is now costing me £34/35 after the latest price increases (approx. $67 USD to last me about a week). We've always been the most overcharged country with stupid petrol.
-
No no no. I'm talking about Intel + Sager Combination. I believe the OP noted Intel + Sager combined on this one. So it's still pretty lame coming from intel and all. I guess they're trying to do a bit of damage control from a delayed launch and all. Throw a dog a bone technique. And then you have words like "limited quantity." What does that mean? Like 5? Man i'm such a pessimist. Yay a $25 gas card. For those of you who don't have cars - that sucks. Good job everyone! 25 bucks! That can buy like....still thinking...Ok gonna stop now...
-
Donald@Paladin44 Retired
So, would you prefer an ice cream cone...or???
I find it interesting that Sager works with Intel to provide a clear $25 value as a bonus...and you find a way to complain that it isn't enough.
Sheesh man, it is a BONUS, it is FREE, it is a GIFT. I can only imagine how you are at Christmas time. -
25 bucks is most of the p9400 upgrade, if there is going to be an upgrade. So if someone gives you free money, gift cards or other wise, just shut up and take it. geez, people these days. There needs to be more publicity on the horrors in third world countries.
-
It's NOT free and NOR is it a gift. If I spend 2k on a machine it's peanuts off. Yeah it's better than nothing but don't say it's a gift. It is PAID for.
Don't let anybody fool you. It is paid for. Will you get that "free" 25 bucks if you don't buy the machine? No way!
I'm not even gonna comment on that one.. -
Would you prefer paying $4K for a similarly configured machine from other companies like *cough* Alien.. *cough* and not get something worth $25 for free, then ? That'd make you happier ?
EDIT: Or let me put it this way.... Would you like a company selling you a $2K laptop and giving you something *free* worth another $2K and selling for a total of $4K by adding it to the base price ?
If you've understood what I'm trying to say, then well and good. Else, you have a real FUBAR definition of a free gift, my friend! -
       somebody get a mop please.
-
Justin@XoticPC Company Representative
It is small in aspect to the price of a laptop, but it is FREE and a GIFT, no matter which way you look at it. It is amazing that you can find a way to complain about this....
-
lol

What are the odds the gas card thing works in Canada?
-
auburncoast Notebook Deity NBR Reviewer
heh thats what i'm wondering. -
Hey man, I just said it wasn't enough - then somebody said it was a "Gift". Last time I checked a gift wasn't something you had to pay for get. But maybe we should believe what anyone says
-
Not enough? The last time i checked Sager and their resellers were not obligated to give anything for buying their laptops.
-
"Gift" is, obviously, a euphemism, an inaccurate usage of a common word to characterize an in-kind price reduction. In other words, economically, the fair market value of something you get in-kind when you pay cash to purchase a particular good is netted out against the amount of cash you paid, so you are effectively getting a $25 discount off the price of the computer you purchase that comes with the gas card.
I suppose, if you wanted to play rhetorician (and there was insufficient hemlock available) you could simply say that you're going to pay $2,000 for an electronic payments device that entitles you to acquire up to $25 dollars' worth of gasoline, and wouldn't ya know it, the seller threw a computer in for free.

2 true. Let's clear up this vernacular.
