Why hello, Sager fans! I am currently the owner/operator of Sager tweets on the @sagernotebook twitter feed. (Verified by posting on the twitter feed here) I just wanted to give a shout to the community here that there is indeed a twitter feed for Sager, unofficially run by myself. However, I do receive official updates about Sager laptops from their mailing list as I have called Sager and have made sure it was okay. I also keep tabs on the website/other deals that are going on with the resellers. If any of you would like to get in on these updates, have a good review or a problem that has been solved (emphasis on solved), or even just a comment on service and whatnot, I'd love to hear about it, and maybe the community would love it as well. I'm hoping at 100 official followers/fans, we might be able to do a random giveaway, either sponsored by Sager officially or by one of the resellers. You can receive a lot of info, though, about your favorite clevo laptops, all in one convenient place. Really, I was surprised they hadn't done this before, but it is what it is!Hope to see a few of you on twitter!

There's no proof that this is legitimate, for all we know he could be harvesting twitter info for spamming about laptop deals. I'm sure it's not like that - but proceed with caution as this is not an official twitter (and granted, he did not advertise it as one, either - to his credit).

Very good concerns, sk3tch. I can assure you that I do not intend harm to come by this account, but rather, useful information. If you want, you can always check the tweets I have made before to see the content, for starters. I could also have any of the current followers verify that this is not what I do. If there is another way of verification that you can think of, I'd be more than happy to give it a go.

Why does it say the unofficial twitter feed for sager?
-
Indeed! I made a Facebook page as well found here: Facebook
It's tied in with the twitter account so it gets the same updates.

As a matter of fact, why kind of official news from Sager ? The most reliable sources are still resellers and the community sharing here on NBR.

Sager does not have a marketing department per se, so, as a fan, they asked me to make it "unofficial." Mostly, this is because they do not want customers asking for support through twitter. I'm also pretty sure that it was to make a distinction between myself and the company in case I say something stupid.
Personally being in electronic retail myself for awhile, the one main thing that I want to provide through this account is a tangible, friendly experience for customers or potential customers. It makes for a better overall experience with a company, when they are in touch with fans.

By official news, I mean that I am currently on the mailing list for the same Sager updates that resellers receive. However, I am also aware of the community here and the knowledge that it brings. Therefore, what better way to receive news that I can share with other followers than getting something from here? That's why I tried to make it clear that if you have ANYTHING to share about Sager laptops, you can run it past me and I'll see about putting it out to the masses. In essence, the channel will mostly center around the official updates, but also around the community that it brings with it. Again, it goes back to the whole "friendly retailer" image that I want to portray, where users have input and provide feedback. I already like how Sager does business, why not help them out with their marketing approach? Just as a note, I will be trying to focus mainly on resellers as this is what Sager would like me to do. You get better deals from them, anyway, so it does make sense. To a customer, a company looking to sell for the best deal possible while keeping quality in tact pretty much sells itself. I truly wish more people knew this, though.

Well be sure to give you a heads up when someone tries to upgrade an older model to the 7970m or gtx 680m! Many people are wondering if that will work or not.

Awesome! This account is always open here, or you can tweet it at me. Maybe in time we can make this an official account, provided I keep up a good job. Savvy? (too much Pirates of the Caribbean today, I'm afraid...)

Just wanted to say thanks a bunch to all of those who have followed the twitter feed. We're almost to 100 followers which is when I get the go ahead from XoticPC to do a giveaway! Just letting you know, as well, we will be doing several more giveaways over the summer to promote both Xotic and Sager, so it should be a lot of fun! Again, any comments or reviews, pics, fan shtuff that you want to send my way is welcome and could end up on the feed itself.

I'm surprised Sager has a twitter page.

I was somewhat surprised that they didn't have one until I found out by talking to them that one of the reasons they don't market much is because they want to put more emphasis on the resellers. However, I felt that this is easily accomplished by making sure that the twitter feed points out/retweets news from resellers and also by suggesting going to a reseller to those who are looking at owning a Sager notebook. Each has its own perks, but all tend to be below the initial price that Sager gives on their own website. I figure that sort of sells itself.
