    Hey everyone,

I'm currently running into an issue on my girlfriend's NP7358/w355SS from xoticpc that was bought not even 6 months ago, for some reason when we try to boot up the PC, the LED lights would flicker and the fan would spin for a second but everything else would just go blank and turn off again.

I've tried taking out ram sticks, putting them into different slots, I've also tried taking out the CMOS battery, have tried unplugging AC source and taking out battery then holding power button for a minute, but nothing is working. I'm fearing the worst which is probably a downed motherboard and was wondering if anyone else has come across this issue that they were able to fix it in some other way?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Does the charge indicator come on when the ac is in? Does it behave the same on battery on? Does removing the battery make a difference?

Hey Meaker, yes the charge indicators comes on when the AC is in, removing the battery makes no difference with AC still plugged in, computer still boots for half a second, LED pops up then it powers out.

Sorry to hear about the booting problems. Sounds like you've tried most of the common self diagnosis. If comfortable you can try reseating the CPU. Just make sure you have some thermal compound around to reapply. If you're not comfortable doing that, the next step would be to set up an RMA. You can do that by filling out the form under the Contact section on our site.
