I am deciding between the Sager 8130 (with 560m) and the Sager 8150 (with 485m).

Has anyone played The Witcher 2 on the 8130--are you getting decent FPS on medium to high settings? I guess I am concerned whether the game will "look nice" and run smoothly on the 8130.

Anyone know what FPS one would get on the 485m as opposed to the 560m with TW2?

    Thanks.

I got decent 30 FPS on custom settings between medium and high. Textures were on high, and everything looked great. BTW 30fps on that game is fine and easily playable. But you know, the 485m will help you in the long run, especially with BF3.

Consider that the GTX 485M is around 40-50% faster than the GTX 560M. You need to ask yourself whether the extra portability is worth losing over 40% performance.

It also depends on what future games you wish to play and whether you want to play at 1920 x 1080 too.

I can play The Witcher 2 at Uber spec with Uber sampling and SSAO disabled and still get a smooth 30+ fps at 1920 x 1080. I get 40+ fps with high.

The GTX 560M will not allow you to do that smoothly but it will be just fine with lower custom settings as Vapkez mentioned.
