    Sager branding on NP8150

    I recently ordered a Sager NP8150 from XoticPC. I chose "Sager branding" on the machine instead of the "remove all branding" option.

    After the laptop had shipped, I realized that I preferred the simple black look on the laptop - not crazy about the "Sager" emblazoned on the top.

    Is this something that a user could removed themselves? I've thought about just covering it up, but skins like decalchick sells are tacky to me, and the XoticPC custom skinning, while looking very nice, is too expensive for me.

    If it's already shipped, you may only be able to try doing it yourself. You can probably pry/peel them off, but most likely not easily. Worst case is that you can send it back with just the cost of shipping.

    The easiest way is to take a hair dryer to warm up the adhesive and then it should come up and off clean. :)

    No, DON'T take the Sager branding off!!

    Keep the branding, make new friends, influence people.

    You will deprive yourself of the pleasure of everyone asking you, "Sager? I never heard of that...."

    Then you get to tell him/her about what a great brand it is and they walk away thinking you are the greatest/smartest PC guy ever.

    It has been said that having the SAGER logo may give you a better resale value on Ebay and such. Something to think about. :)

    This...just experienced that visiting my bro for a few days, him and his buddy never heard of Sager, then i helped his friend pick out a GT 540m equipped Asus and he was super happy with it (he doesn't mind its not the highest of high end). We tested a bunch of games on it and it's not too bad at medium to high settings.

    But yea they were totally blown away by my Sager when i booted up Crysis 2 in dx11 and high res textures.

    I just left it. I'd rather have something on the back than nothing. And I never really look at anything other than the screen anyway. Plus, like mentioned before, it's a conversation starter. But either way, no biggie.

    I agree, I think that the clear backing looks really sharp, when I order mine I think I'll go with no branding.

    how about the malibal branding, is that any different than the sager from xoticpc? in terms of aesthetics, quality, and good looks?
