So, I received my 5750 yesterday and its a beauty. I couldn't first believe the build quality of this thing.. It's like a rock. I don't think i've seen a lappy before with build quality like this one.

I've been playing with it since and i'm lovin it ;) Few comments below:
    - The WUXGA screen is totally awesome. Although I can read, i increased the windows font size to be able to read better.
    - As I said before, I'm not big in gaming, but still, I downloaded trial versions of Quake4, Doom3 and Need for Speed and played them for a while and my ATI x1600 handled all of them pretty well (even at 1600x1200 resolution). So, what games can ATI x1600 not play and GeForce 7950 can?? I downloaded a bunch of HD clips at 1080p from microsoft website and played them. I've noticed some very short pauses in the clips when I'm playing 1080p HD. Maybe its because X1600 can't handle so much data so fast ??
    - I found one dead pixel which is dead only for a few colors. I think i can live with that.
    - Sound quality from built in speakers is pretty good, but not the best as in many other laptops, but i think it can be a little better...
    - I noticed that my left arrow button *clicks* (with a click sound), where as all the other keys are soft.. Is this normal or is there something wrong with the left arrow key?
    - There are no dedicated keys for PgUp, PgDn, Home and End keys. They are arrow keys with Function, which wasn't very comfortable in the beginning but i got used to it and i find it better now (since my fingers are closer to arrow keys than the top right corner of the keypad ;))
    - Not all the Fn+ function keys are printed on the keys. I had to open the manual to find out that Fn+F1 turns the touchpad on/off and Fn+F2 turns the fan on/off.
    - I thought that the manual said that I can play both CDs and DVDs on the DJ player when the laptop is turned off. But, it played only CDs. It didn't recognize DVDs. And there is no forward button (just the skip button) on DJ panel.
    - I still need to connect the digital audio out to my receiver. Is there a wireless device which does that ?
    - I've been running on AC power until now. I will run it on battery today and see how long the battery lasts..

Those are all the complaints I have ;) I'm just worried about the left arrow key.. Overall I think its a great laptop and happy that I bought it..
Attaching a cpl of screen shots.. Later guys..

First of all, congrats in the new notebook.

You system should not really have any stutters in the FULL HD video playback, I would recommend to try a different player. Media Player Classic is probably the most recommended, it play practically everything. Also it comes with Real Alternative (RealTime codec, can be played on normal media players rather than the stupid Real player) and Quicktime Alternative (RealTime codec, can be played on normal media players rather than the stupid QT player), as well as codec packs like K-Lite.

If there really is a dead pixel, you can get it fixed/replaced, the OEM should be okay with that.

The sound quality is good, its need some configuration within the RealTek software.
Set the Environment option to Carpeted Hallway. And if you want even more quality, set the Equalizer to Soft (as in Soft Rock)

it might just need to get used more (like a warm up). that is a bit rare though.

yea we know, they have been doing that for a while now.

it does play CDs and DVDs... but there is a catch. All the discs have to be audio/MP3s only, not movies. So you can burn Mp3s on a DVD-R and the Audio DJ should play them fine.

    - I still need to connect the digital audio out to my receiver. Is there a wireless device which does that ?
no wireless device needed, unless if you cant get a wire to connect to the notebook's SPDIF out port. (i think is on the rear of the notebook, you might need to use the RealTek Audio software to do it)

    Hope that helps,
    -Gophn

Thanks Gophn and sorry for the late reply..

Actually, Windows media player is giving me short pauses while playing HD. I played using PowerDVD and it plays just fine..

I'm not going to replace the laptop. I am fine with one dead pixel. I don't even notice that it's there unless i search for it ;)

I followed your instructions and the sound quality is actually pretty good now.

    Yes. I realized that.

I actually meant to ask if there's a way to stream audio from my laptop to the audio receiver without running an audio cable between the receiver and laptop....

One more questions since I'm here ;)
    - Is it possible to use a docking station with this laptop? I don't see any port to plug to a docking station.

Few laptops come with a model specific docking station anymore, and your Sager is no exception. Most docking stations sold today are universal USB, or ExpressCard. There are several good ones out there including ones made by Targus and Kensington.

I usually turn off the numlock and use the hom/end/pgup/pgdn on the numpad.
Although if you need the #'s, this could be a little wonky. I just love that this chassis actually has a numpad. so much nicer.

How are you folks accessing your RealTek software options to change the settings listed above?

I also have a 5760 with RealTek audio, but for the life of me I can't find the control panel for it.

Clicking all of the .exe files in the c:\program files\realtek\installshield folder does nothing, and the menus available by clicking sounds and audio devices in the control panel doesn't lead to any of the above options.

Surely, there's something simple that i'm missing here.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Ahh, cleverly hidden out in the open - thanks Gophn.

I knew it was a user error issue. :)
