This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Sager customer support and best place to buy

    I am upgrading my laptop. Been a big Alienware fan for a while, but I realized that Sager seems to be a little more laptop for the price.
    But, How is customer support for potential warranty work?
    Granted most here will be biased, but is Sager a better built laptop and just a more reliable unit?
    I went to the Sager site, and am looking at a 15 " laptop, are they the best place to buy?

    I haven't bought one yet (been lurking, trying to find as much info as possible), but it seems the consensus has been:
    1)Don't order directly from Sager
    2)Order from one of the resellers/builders

    Now, most of the resellers/builders have been well-liked, and there are plenty of people who will support them. As for which company you should go with, ask each of them about the system you want, and decide based on your impressions of them.

    The most popular, or at least the most common ones I see discussed for U.S. purchasers are XoticPC, Mythlogic, LPC-digital, Malibal and Powernotebook. But, I'm probably missing several.

    At the risk of creating another thread where every reseller here posts in this thread telling you to PM them with any questions you may have ;) . The above is true. PM / email any of us resellers (our usernames are grey) that post regularly here and I'm sure us or any other reseller would be glad to answer any questions or help you with a price or anything of that nature. By all means get a hold of us all and see which one you like best =)
