Sorry bro, I have no idea. I am not sure exactly what that is, but am assuming an n950 is a BGA model; in which case I will have paid no attention to it at all due to lack of interest. I don't say that to be snooty (well maybe a little) just being honest about having zero interest in any form of crippled BGA trashbooks.

If it is a BGA turd, it will automatically suck compared to the 16L13. Homey don't play dat.

    Can’t compete.

Here's this you can look at as well. Totally suitable for normal everyday tasks, gaming, etc.

So your saying when you undervolt you risk putting too much current to the CPU because of the undervolt?

No, that wouldn't make any sense. You can undervolt and set an amp limit, to achieve the best performance you'd get the best voltage to amp ratio. When you open XTU for instance you can play around those settings to make a CPU more or less stable.

To get an example, the moment my 4940MX gets under 80amp due to limitations I would set in XTU or in my case the BIOS, it would cause it to not run at 4ghz stable anymore. The moment I would put less stress onto the CPU it would run at 4ghz stable when surfing the web, playing older games, but would downclock itself to 3.6ghz when doing rendering or playing heavy games. Voltage and Current are 2 seperate thigns you can configure. It also helps getting your CPU cooler as well if you find the "sweetspot", that's how I got my 4940MX under control, since it's a very hot running CPU, 4ghz stable in a P157SM at around 70C with minor heatsink mods is really impressive considering the furnace of a CPU.

You should not worry about current (except having it high enough not to be a limit) but voltage and frequency which are the real setters of power consumption.

well thats actually incorrect iirc i think they all matter, to an extent. maybe you're generalizing it so i misunderstood but too much current would be an issue, as long as it doesnt throttle is what you're saying?

7700k reviewed use less voltage than 6700k but some end up using more power, means current increased, that would be an issue if its too much current.

Setting current limit higher that necessary is ignored. It is merely a limit, not a static value. So, you can max it out and it won't cause any harm or affect performance (unlike voltage).

Firstly, why are you tagging Donald? he's a salesman for HIDevolution not a tech support agent

secondly, why don't you have a signature that details your laptop model and specs? people cannot give you good advice like this.

Regarding the tweaks, what exactly are you looking for? I could sit here typing 5 pages of tweaks. You need to be specific.

De-lid, re-pad and liquid metal along with tweaking the voltage/frequency are the big ones.
