Hi! Im new to the forum and I placed my order for 2 new laptops on the XoticPC website.

I just want to double check the main laptop configuration, as its going to be my personal crown jewel :3 I chose Sager because you can upgrade the components in the long run.

I have a 3D ready question but I made a diff post for that if anybody savvy could hop into that thread.

Any comments or tips are greatly welcome:

If you have the money upgrade the GPU to a 7970m or 680m. That will save you alot of money in the long run if your planning to upgrade. If you have never done thermal paste on your own I also recommend buying the IC diamond upgrade or learning how to repaste. Also you should use 1600 MHz ram instead of 1333. Other then that your system looks good.

I have read a lot that the difference between 1333 and 1600 is minimal, even impercitible. Has this changed :S?

I cant have the 680 right now because Im travelling to the US to pick up the pc. Alas they cant have the pc there by the time I go if I choose the 680. It'll have to wait.

Thank you for the feedback :)

Going from 1333 to 1600 ram won't even net you 1 FPS.
