Hey-I was just wondering what games all you sager owners play.

My personal favorite is company of heroes. It had worked well on my comp with that had a geforce 7900 gtx, but now with my 9262, I get a lot of flickering. I've noticed better performance using one 8800 over going SLI.

I bought Crysis to test my new comp and play that sometimes. I'm really into strategy, so midieval 2 total war is another favorite.

If anybody else runs COH on their Sager, we should slaughter together sometime :)

    Peace guys

If you're into strategy, try Command and Conquer 3, as well as, World in Conflict ! :) (if you haven't already). I've not tried Company of Heroes so far.

My issue with command and conquer is that you just build hordes of units. In company of heroes (COH) each unit is weak against certain other units and some units don't damage other unit types. Also, tanks have different levels of armor depending on what side you hit them, so you must strategically position your units for attack and defense or you can be destroyed easily.

I do have world in conflict, but i feel that the element of actual strategy in it (and C&C) is far inferior to that of COH. It isn't about how many units you have, it's about how you use and position them. Also, axis and allies have many unique units, so you are never pitting identical units against each other.

well joining in this thing here :)
    I play Team Fortress 2 (too much :) )
I also have crysis now, and Fear Online Combat, PREY (because steam sold it for $5!!!) all the other usual HL2 suspects,

I still love C&C generals, wasnt so glad for C&C3, so I am waiting for Generals2, .....waiting..........in the dark.............

for racing I have flatout2, which is one if the biggest barrels of laughs ever :)
    like TF2 is I suppose
and I also got the Free trackmania thats everywhere since Wedensday :) that is surprisingly good for a free product, reminds me of playing Micro Machines ....

I am pants at strategy games, Generals has been the only one I got any good at, but I think thats more of a time issue.

anyway guys, maybe there could be some Sager/CLevo Clans ?

I`d join a Clan, but the time difference would be a killer.I`m using CET+2h (it`s 12:37 for me right now) and I can usually get home at 9PM.(that`s 2 PM for New York).
    It`s a good idea though :D

well I suppose to guarantee participation in any get-together we would look at freebie games

for those who havent got STEAM, there is an NVIDIA offer
I think its www.steampowered.com/nvidia but it comes up on google :)
anyway that gets you HL2 Deathmatch free, and a few demos
then there is the free trackmania.....which steam also does a good job of distributing :)

I played Everquest for way to many years and swore I wouldn't get back into gaming heavily! I have Crysis now and play that a bit, but I haven't found another game that had the draw power that EQ had for me. WoW and EQ2 didn't have it and I'm still searching but not that hard!

Think I'm heading to Best Buy..........

I currently have all the Half Life series loaded and eagerly awaiting the next installment. Crysis, yet to finish it...and just installed Assassin's Creed which has me hooked for the mean time.

Lately when I don't feel like playing games I have been fooling around with the Unreal Editor trying to design death match levels. Thats about it.

(staying away from MMO's.....even though I do have a lifetime subscription to LOTRO and it is installed as well)

    It`s a good idea.
I don`t know how to do it in windows though,or set just a certain percentage of the CPU power to go there...

Na, I`m serious. A friend of mine allots a certain percentage of the CPU when idle to finding some new genome to make better beans and grain.
I liked the idea, first heard about it some 5 years ago.
    It`s a nice thing.

    He's right
There are some doftwares that use the idle CPU cycles to process the data.If many people used it ,this would be faster.

I´ve used in the past my X1900XTX GPU to folding... I wonder why nvidia don´t start a project like that...

Being the core G92 and G80(8800 GT/GTS/GTX/Ultra) capable of hundreds of GFLOPS of processing power...

The PS3 in the den runs Folding@Home 24/7, unless playing CoD4 and Burnout Paradise.

Point me to one you`re not using and can run under Windows.
I`m interested in something related to combatting world hunger or some disease ,like cancer or AIDS.
Heck, I idle my CPU and GPU a lot and since I`ve undervolted the CPU and hit max 59C on the CPU, might as well use it for something useful and meaningful.

You guys are nuts. We all know that there's no money in a cure for cancer or aids, so there's little chance of it coming out. maybe a public university could find something, but it stops there.

Since i've gotten my second 8800, my comp is running mad hot. somebody (i think eleron) had told me what software will allow me to know the temp, but i forget which. anybody know what to get?

Also- combating world hunger or disease is incredibly idealistic in my eyes. Less people starving or dying = faster population growth (which is already exponential) = less time to solve that problem and more people dying horrible deaths in the future.

we should use our computing power to create a disease that only allows people to have 2 or 3 kids and then they're cut off.

Does selectively infiltrating off-topic posts into various NBR threads constitute a game? If so, that'll probably be one of my biggest time-killers if/when I get a Sager/Clevo. :D

Bioshock, Crysis, Company of Heroes, Oblivion, The Witcher, Need for Speed: Most Wanted<--(older but looks beautiful with maxed settings and res, best. racing. game. ever), Jedi Knight Outcast<--( really old but I enjoy a few online duels now and then ;)

At the rate I am going I don't know if I will ever finish any of these games!! The 5793 is just too great to be bound to one game... and I gotta take time to surf the web, watch movies and listen to tunes (the configurable analog audio ports were an unexpected blessing for my x540 system, dunno why their not advertised)

@eleron911: Yeah, I can't wait for StarCraft II either, I still remember playing it on the P1 100 mhz, 32 gig ram, 1.2 gig HD system my family had years ago. I actually still have one of the first original boxes with the Mature rating error on it! (should have been Teen)
