What do you all think about this? (Link below)

$940 from a guy that builds customs, said it less than a year old. Here's what he had to say about it ..

"Really nice and powerful gaming laptop! Runs super smooth and has no issues at all! In fact it is still covered under FULL WARRANTY for another year! You will not be disappointed with this one!

    • 6th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ Processor
    • 17.3" Full HD Matte Display
    • Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5
    • 16GB Dual Channel DDR4 at 2400MHz
    • 256GB SanDisk X400 M.2 SSD + 1TB 7200rpm HDD
    • Intel Wireless-AC 8260 + Bluetooth
    • Color illuminated keyboard with full Macro function
    • Built-in Fingerprint Reader
    • IC-Diamond Thermal Compound
    • 30 days No Dead Pixel Guarantee
    • Slim Design

No Issues! No Scratches! No Problems! Will be shipped in its original box along with all accessories! I'll even throw in a messenger bag with it! Grab it now!

    Original Price: $1,499

    RFS: Downgrading"

It has much better specs than the new ones I've been looking at for same price. Should I take the chance on buying used since it's still under warranty and what's everyones impressions with Sager?

    Thanks in advance!

I think some other members on here will be better positioned to advise you on this, but my thoughts would be:

    - impressions with Sager - this is the owners forum for the laptop you listed http://forum.notebookreview.com/thr...sager-np8153-s-np8152-s-owners-lounge.795090/

"Reason for selling: Downgrading" - who is selling this in order to downgrade, seems a strange thing for a company to say so is the "guy that builds customs" someone on EBay or similar? The members on here who are in the US will be more familiar with Sager warranties and so on, but I would definitely recommend to check for proof of extended warranty; unlike in Europe, the US minimum is 1 year rather than 2 years.

well it should stay cool and if warranty and all is included then it's not a bad deal.

@XMG it's not that unusual for people to downgrade to something like a macbook, dell XPS etc.

If the warranty is intact and you get confirmation from the reseller then its not too bad.

Consider that people where getting 6700HQ GTX1070 AW15's for about 1600$ last Black Friday... NEW.

Yes, always check with the warranty provider that warranties are transferable and not restricted to original purchaser only. That's a nasty clause I've seen creeping into more and more T&C fine print.

Clevos have always been excellent value second hand covered by warranty as they depreciate so quickly. 50-60% of original purchase cost at 1yr point is very common.

I said it would be a strange thing for a company, or for "a guy who builds customs" to say ;-)
