I took my sager notebook to Iraq last year and it was accidentally dropped. When I opened the case, I found several of my harddrive platters smashed, so I replaced the harddrive. It worked fine for a while, but then began shutting off intermittently and then completely failed. I replaced it with yet another, identical harddrive and now it won't reboot at all. I haven't been able to find POST code translations for sager, but I do hear them. Any help?

When you buy a Sager you get Lifetime Toll Free Tech Support. Have you tried calling them (or you can email them), or your reseller where you bought it?

It sounds like you did motherboard damage when you dropped it that was latent for a while, but has now developed into a failure. Sager tech support is there to help you...Lifetime, or many times you will get help with support going through your reseller. Where did you buy it?

I understand that there's a lifetime tech support option, but I'm currently too busy to get back to them and wouldd like to try to fix the machine again myself asap because I'm about to go someplace unpleasant again. I guess if it's the motherboard, I don't have much of a choice.. do you know where I can find out what this POST message is telling me?

The best place to find out is Sager. email their tech support at [email protected]. That will take less time than posting here, and you will be talking to a factory trained technician.
