Woah, stop the presses - that's really good looking. I like the different color choices.
The built-in optical drive is always a plus for an ultraportable.

Very nice...esp the 2.5" HDD and fingerprint reader...wonder how much it weighs with the 10 cell battery?
-

I don't know for sure yet, but the 10 Cell battery should add about 11 ounces which will bring the total weight to about 3.5 pounds.
-
Very nice and with an internal optical drive too! The NP6260 looks to be an excellent new option for the ultraportable market at a great price.
-
3.5 pounds with such a large battery is great... and I hope that the estimate of 5 hours on the 4-cell are realistic, 'cuz that'd beat the daylights out of ThinkPads, even. I love the choice of colors, and the build/layout looks positively awesome. For that price, this will be one of the ultraportables to recommend! Cons that I can see now: 1.35"-thick; no gigabit ethernet; 512Mb soldered.
Beautiful machine, Donald.

Using the Ultra Low Voltage processor helps the battery life a great deal. In addition, there is no exotic video card to suck the battery dry.
So, for business or student users that are not gamers it is hard to beat. -
under what guise will this model be released in the UK? (if at all)

There is no way for us in the US to know what might be going on in the UK market, but you can find out by going to http://www.clevo.com.tw/contact/default.asp#03

Any chance of a barebones? I'm thinking of keeping my extra parts from my build and building this or a Z35F.

Sager does not sell barebones laptops. If there were to sell a barebones to an OEM custom builder it would not be a Sager, and they do not sell barebones to end users.

We now have done extensive testing of the 4 cell battery and find that with the wireless card turned off the battery life is about 4 hours using the BatteryMark stress testing. With light use you will get more, but with heavy use expect about 4 hours.
With the wireless card turned on expect about 20-30 minutes less, and for gaming cut it in half.
Also, the 10 cell battery has been delayed. We do not have an ETA at this time, but are hopeful that it will become available within the next several weeks. -
That's quite impressive for a 4-cell battery. I like this laptop more and more.

I am anxious to find out the battery life on this machine on a 10 cell battery.
Please update us when you receive them or information about them. This would be a prime choice for what I am looking for if the 10 cell would yield good results.
Thanks for your time! -

If the four-cell battery yields four hours of life, then the ten-cell should deliver ten. Only real-life testing will tell though.
-
Great looking notebook! I'm definitely interested in picking one up, but the only place I can find the 10-cell is at Xotic. I'm not sure I completely understand the whole ODM/OEM/VAR thing yet - what are the pros/cons of buying from a company other than Sager? Would tech support, service, etc. come through Xotic or Sager? Why does Xotic have a 10-cell but Sager doesn't? Sorry if any of these are silly questions. Thanks very much everybody for all the posts.

To learn more about the ODM/OEM relationship you can read Let's talk about the concept of 'Name Brand' as it applies to laptop computers
The advantage of buying from a Sager dealer instead of Sager directly is that you usually pay less, and you typically get better service. Some Sager dealers even offer 24/7 telephone tech support. -
Are there plans to offer the Core Duo ULV (U2500, I think it is), or will the U1400 be the only CPU option?
Is the 10 cell battery canceled completely, or is it still in the works?
I was looking at the X60 and D420 before seeing this....I like the <3 lbs weight and integrated DVDRW very much. -

There are no plans at this time for either the Intel Core Duo LV2300(1.50GHz) or the 10 cell battery.
Have you seen the ASUS S6F 11.1" with the Intel Core Duo LV2300(1.50GHz) that comes in either metal or leather bound case? 3.4 pounds with Dual Layer Super Multi drive? -
I have not seen it personally, but it should be around the same size as the Sony TX series, which i found way too small, both in keyboard as well as screen res.
I have used X41 and X60 before, they dont seem nearly as bad sizewise.
Sager introduces the 2.8 pound 12.1" NP6260 w/built in Combo DVDRW - White or Silver
