I have recently bought a 570ru and am having problems with the keyboard. It keeps missing keypresses which is getting very annoying (5 were missed while typing this post). I have tried removing the keyboard and re-seating the connector to no avail. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

Press Harder :D ... here no problem at all... But your not the first telling this...

I have a problem with keyboard tho. I press "e" and comes out "r" or "d" and output "k" .... I send laptop back, they upgrade a new bios and now its fine :D

But no problem at all missing keypresses while typing...

I had the same problem but I had to change the way I pressed down on the keys. I feathered them pretty much but then I have learned to press harder. +1 to the other poster.

If I hit the keys hard then it does seem to miss less hits (possibly because this means that I am also typing slower?) but still misses some and I'm sure I shouldn't have to hit the keys this hard, I certainly didn't have to on my last laptop - (3 keypresses were missed while typing this even though I'm pressing the keys harder)

if you are typing slow and it still happens, I would try and see if its a hardware issue or a software one.

Use a windows bootup disc or Linux Live CD (Knoppix), and try to type in those enviroments.... which is independent of the HDD and your Windows.

If it works fine in those environments... then your Windows or software is causing that.

If it still does the same thing, I would contact your vendor to see if they can just cross-ship you another keyboard.
