I've had my Sager np2090 for a little over a year now and I love it. When I got it, however, I only chose the 80gb hard drive in hopes of upgrading later. Well now I'm hoping to do that and I was looking on the powernotebooks.com specs page and saw that it said "Up to 200GB 7,200RPM or 250GB 5,400RPM SATA/150 Hard Drive "

Is this a true limitation that cannot be worked around? Because it would be really nice if I could pop in a 500 gb SAMSUNG Spinpoint M6 HM500LI drive (if SATA/3.0 drives would work) or a 320 gb TOSHIBA MK3252GSX(if only SATA/1.5 drives work) instead of being limited to 250 gbs.

Sure you can. What Powernotebooks stated was the highest capacity they offered at the time. As long as it's the standard thickness, pretty much any notebook drive will work.

Fantastic, thank you Azone! Looks like my christmas gift for myself will be a shiny new hard drive.
