EDIT: Hehe nevermind I'm an idiot. Fn+f9 fixed my problem. laptop noob ftl

About a month ago I've purchased a np5793 with the 1900x1200 screen from xoticpc. Everything was working fine until one night I didn't plug the power supply all the way into the laptop while I was at work. Eventually the laptop ran out of power. When I found out about the problem I connected the power supply properly.

I was greeted with a message telling me the notebook ran out of battery but it had everything saved or something like that. It was then I noticed my screen was A LOT darker than it was before. I tried rebooting and tweaking with brightness/contrast/gamma but I just can't seem to restore the brightness my laptop was running with before.

I'm not sure if this was caused by some power saving function or graphic card related issue (I'm using a 8800m gtx). I would've posted this in xoticpc's forums but I figured the guys here might have more experience. Please help!
