    I need help!

Recently i was in the middle of a game, then the screen suddenly freezes, with frozen dashed lines going down the screen. I assumed it was a crash and attempted to reboot. Upon reboot, the disk activity light flashes and then goes dark, the power button light stays on but the screen stays black. Anybody have any idea how to fix?

can you tell everyone your full spec.
verical lines could well be a dead graphics card.

no more can be said until we know what other hardware you have and is it covered by warranty. also did you overclock.

taking out battery, diconnecting a/c and also resetting cmos (take out bios battery) with pressing power button for at least 30 seconds make any difference?

if not, it might really be a dead gpu. especially conaidering the numerous reports of dying 6990m cards lately... :(

contact them and they will be able to tell you. pointless us pulling a time scale out of the air as it will be pure guesswork. also have to take into account that you are not covered by courier or parts so can be pricey.
    good luck
