    Hey,
Do any of you guys have it? Is it a good laptop? How many fans does it have? Resellers, is it a popular laptop? Is it returned for issues often?
    Thanks

Yes its a popular notebook. There is also the NP8258-S which is very similar but has one extra SATA port to hook up a SSD. But if up to 2 mSATA and a 2.5" HDD bay is all you'll need the NP8268 model is a good choice. There are no common issues for returns that come to mind. It does have two exhaust fans.

We do, you'll see that option during checkout. After you submit the order we'll email you the bank wire instructions within 24hrs.

The trade off is the NP8268 gets to be a touch lighter.

Yes, it's a popular system and has been reliable in our feedback and tests. It has two fans (one for CPU exhaust, the other for the GPU) and manages to stay fairly cool under heavy load.

We see more orders for the 17" counterpart, but the 8268-s and 8258 (P150SM-A and P157SM-A, respectively) rarely come in for repairs, and ever more rare are they returned.

... which funny enough only affects a narrow margin of gamers who are mostly in a narrow branch of first person multiplayer shooters. Battlefield 4 most notable.

in the hundreds of games I play, which funny enough doesn't include BF1-4, I've never ran into the issue.

Does it exist? Yup, most notably with the common key combinations for BF4 for strafe-firing (from what I"ve heard). But then if you can't reprogram the keys for BF4, the game would be disappointing to me on that alone.

Pretty much every gaming laptop keyboard has ghosting issues with certain combinations. Some keyboards specifically modify their diods to avoid common key presses (like ones made specifically for BF4). But it is important to know that this does not eliminate ghosting! It mitigates it by just making different key combinations do the same thing.

Unless the laptop keyboards are riding on the PS/2 interface, you're pretty much SOL for a true n-key keyboard.

You want to eliminate ghosting? Get an IBM mechanical keyboard.

I've not played BF4 so honestly don't know.

it's just assumption on my part, but if WoW and BF4 have people up in arms over ghosting, it's the only valid assumption that the keys are non-bindable.

    Ridiculous.

Mystery solved, secret half brothers, glad we got that sorted.

After these shenanigans though the np8268 is very capable and remains one of the slimmest high end 15 inch machines.
