    Sager np9370
    Intel Core i7 5840qm
    2 AMD Radeon 7970m crossfire
    16GB ddr3 ram
256 GB crucial m4 ssd boot drive
    1TB hard drive

They both started dying around the same time a little less then a year ago around the same time I gave it to my girlfriend lol. I have been doctoring them up by throwing them in the oven every month give or take. I was going to get the same part but 300~400 dollars is a lot for an older card that is weak by today's standards. I was looking into something like a 970m or a 980m to breath new life into the machine, but I read somewhere that 970m/980m wouldn't work if it was from alienware or msi. Is there anyway that I could flash the Bios on the card to work with the sager? If not did I read a bunch of nonsense and can I just grab a used card from an alienware/msi

    Thanks

    AW/dell cards are a no.
Not sure about MSI 970m/980m working on P370EM, might be possible, look for examples
A Clevo 970m/980m has been done in the P370EM, even in SLI, but purely on price/performance grounds if you're looking at the cost of a 980m you may as well consider 1060 - and if you want a 980M for SLI you should look instead at a 1070
A MSI 1070 will take case modding the internal frame to make room in the P370EM
Watch for news of the gecube reference 1070 that should work in any Clevo to see if they fix the problem they had with the first batch
