after finding sager im debating qosmio or sager.. but anyways heres my questions

some models come with a optional tv tuner.. is that built in? also would anybody happen to know where to get it from?

also does anybody know if over the phone orders you can order a laptop without a OS similar to how hyper does

final question is how is cooling and such on them?.. i notice they come with some really high res screens.. are they that good?

Yes, the optional TV Tuners are built in on most models. Just look for it to say Built-in TV Tuner.

Order by phone or Online and get it without an OS. Just select it in our configurator that way.

The Centrino Sager models run cool like most Centrino laptops, but if you are looking at the high end Sagers with either Pentium 4 or AMD processors you will find their cooling systems to be excellent. However when you have a high powered processor, video card, memory and hard drive you have to expect some heat. It is just that Sager has been doing it so long, they have mastered the cooling systems.

Sager does not use coupon codes, but if you call us and ask, we can show you how to get a 2.5% discount.

Don't you HAVE to have Windows XP MCE to watch TV on a PC? I would think it would be cheaper to buy XP MCE with the notebook rather than after-market.

You don't have to have MCE to use either a built-in or external TV Tuner. Most people don't. Windows XP Home or Professional is what they are built for.

However if you buy MCE you HAVE to have the more expensive MCE TV Tuner...which is not so sweet.

Hmmm....That's odd, I've never seen a computer watch TV without Win MCE, except using WinTV. I never knew that laptops could use WinTV (or smiliar program) as desktops do....

We have been offering TV Tuners on our laptops for years, both built-in and USB...long before MCE was born!

    Have you visited our website?

I haven't looked at Sager's website for a couple of years now. I think I might take a look around....

Well, that would be fine...but I was talking about our website, not Sager's.

Take a look at my signature.

I just ordered from powernotebooks - so far, everything has gone well! I am also pleased that I got my notebook for less money than if I would have gotten it directly. :)

    Can't wait to get it!

Indeed. The 9.99 lifetime rating is incredible especially if you see how many reviews have been conducted.

To answer the original question, I would NOT recommend a Qosmio. As nice as they are, they are not worth $3000, more like $1500 if you ask me. For $3000, you could easily pick up a top level XPS or Sager...

Just read Chaz's review. So, does that mean Sager has a below average cooling? Since the Dell Inspiron 9300 reviews say their laptops are only slightly warm after running for almost a day non stop.

It has one of the best cooling solutions I have seen on the market. I put a big section in there about it.

The pentium M @ 2.0 Ghz (533 FSB version) is for most games, faster than a pentium4 @ 3.5 Ghz
