I am buying a Sager notebook soon for gaming, either the 15.6 or 17 inch, doesnt matter to me really. But my question is: Has anybody seen the 17" glossy 90% gamut side by side to the the 15.6 matte 95% gamut? I dont care one bit about the glare or reflection because of where i will be gaming i wont have that problem and currently own a glossy screen and have never noticed it one bit. The only thing i care about is the quality of the color. In the past, the matte screens always have looked really dull and "washed out" compared to the glossy screens that i have seen and just doesnt come close to quality of picture and just doesnt "pop". So i wasnt sure if the matte screens have gotten better recently or this particular one is better than the ones i have seen in the past. Thank you for your help

You mention gaming in your post, for gaming the color gamut that the display is capable of won't matter as most games are coded for less than 60% NTSC gamut. Other than that it's just your personal preference on the screen. Some find the glossy screens to be oversaturated, which is the pop you're referring to, so if you like that then the glossy is for you. The matte screens will appear a bit more natural looking and tend to have better color accuracy as a result.

as far as i know the 90% screens are really more for professional photo editing and for general use and gaming i dont think there will be much difference.
ive got the standard matte and i will never buy another gloss screen again.
the matte screen blew my previous clevo gloss away and it is so vibrant with bright colours.

I have a gloss 17" 90% gamut and they are slightly better panels than the stock ones in angles and contrast. Glare vs matte depends on the environment.
