Is there a big difference between the two? Like does Xotic or Sager give OS cds? Or do they only give it to you pre-installed?

As far as I know, they only give it to you pre-installed, but I guess there shouldn't be anything stopping them from tucking the CD into the shipping case only, as it saves Sager time anyway.

How come no one ever goes and asks the companies first with these types of questions?

Also, why are the thread titles invariably some variation on "Company X vs Company Y" as if the next wrestling championship bout were being announced?

Sorry in advance if I've stepped on any toes; I'm just feeling a little peevish right now (not anyone's fault here, just me :D ).

XoticPC also offers 24/7 support on few of the Sager models.

Xotic PC does not give you OEM CD's. It is Sager who does because all orders go through SAGER. SAGER ships then from their facility. Not to sound rude here but there are about 3-4 threads on this same topic if you go back 1-2 pages or look down a few threads. Please do a little bit of research and searching.

    Warranty.

After being burnt by the pctorque.com and the ATS warranty debacle about 3 years ago, I will no longer buy from a 3rd party vendor - especially not any external party warranty that they offer.

If I was to get a Sager, it would be from the horse's mouth: Sager.

Yes, you get all of the disks for what ever OS you order, along with the drivers disk and ODD software disk.

The differences between Sager and Xoticpc and/or PowerNotebooks.com is that for the NP5793, NP8660 and NP9262 you get Toll Free 24/7 DOMESTIC tech support with Xpc and PNB, but only West Coast business hours Monday through Friday when you buy from Sager. On these models you also get 2 extra years of Labor warranty when you get the standard 1 year parts and labor warranty.

Oh, and it is almost always a little cheaper than ordering directly from Sager.
