Is there any 15" laptop out there with a better/faster video card?

I am looking for something newer that will last for a couple years and still be good for most games

The NP8690 (W860CU) is about to get the ATI 4870 XT.

But as far as performance differences go, there is little between the top five cards in overall performance and usage.

    Nvidia GTX 280M
    Nvidia GTX 260M
    ATI HD 4870
    ATI HD 4850
.. and upcoming ATI HD 4870XT

... less than 10% in real gaming performance differences between all of those.

280M was tested in M15X and it passed with flying colors and provided the ~8%+ improvement over the 260M as was expected.

The 280M can also be installed in the M860TU/NP8660 with no major detriments.
