Hey folks,
I have an NP2090 that I purchased before they even began shipping. Last year, I came home to find (after letting my roommate use it) that it would not start. I've since replaced it, as it was out of date anyways, but I'd like to try and get it working so I could give it to my brother.
Here's the issue: pressing the power button engages the fan and the lights, but nothing ever appears on the screen. After about an hour, moving my finger across the reader would lead to the windows startup sound. It seems to me like the system was booting extremely slowly, but without the screen ever being anything but black.
Sager told me that it could be the motherboard or the screen, and that either would cost $500.
A friend suggested that I reset the BIOS, but I can't find instructions on how to do this. I know what I am physically looking for, but I can't find it. I found disassembly instructions on this forum, but they lead to a dead link.
Does anyone have them? Any advice?
Thanks!

It is now in my service manual collection, in the 'Other' folder

There is a good chance that is is a failed GPU. You could bake it for a temporary fix. This is the same as the compal ifl90 look in that forum for info on fixing it. I replaced the gpu in my wife's ifl90 with a 3650 when it died.
