Is the 2760QM compatible with clevo w870cu? I have 820qm on my laptop and I know that the 2760qm and 820qm are both 45w TDP. I also upgraded my clevo to 6970m. Is it possible? with all these new upgrades coming up such as ivy bridge, I figured people would wanna get rid of their 2760qm.

    Hey

No those are not compatible sorry. Just the HM/EM laptops can have Sandy Bridge processors.

    Short answer: no.
Long answer: intel wants you to upgrade your whole computer so they changed the chipset.

If youre looking for a performance boost, you could sell your 6970M asap, and pick up a 7970M ;) double your gpu performance :D i7-920xm CPU should be compatible also right?
