    what's up, guys?

I've had this 8672 for about a year and a half now and have loved every second of it. I just did a fresh reinstall of win 8.1 pro to speed things up a bit and am having issues getting the wireless to work.

normally, I'll install the realtek drivers, restart and I'm off to the races. this time, it is not working. when I install the drivers and restart, the wireless card still isn't showing up under network adapters or in the bottom right tool bar to connect to a wireless network.

    things I've done:

-installed latest drivers from sager's website
-enabled both WWAN & WLAN autoconfig to start automatically
    -Scanning for hardware changes
    -installing antheros witless driver.
    -disabled Intel rapid start.

all of which are not working. I haven't been able to connect to the internet in about 24 hours and I'm starting to go through some serious porn-withdrawals.

sidenote, when I reinstalled Windows, it installed using UEFI. I didn't want that and it made the wireless not work, so I reinstalled via legacy and I'm still running into the same issue. not sure if the realtek had uefi mess with it.

    ideas?

Have you got the control center installed and pressed the keyboard shortcut to turn the wifi on?

You said you are installing the realtek drivers, which wouldn't be for the wireless card. Have you tried getting either the Intel or Bigfoot wireless drivers (depending on the card you are using), or was that just a typo on the brand?

Good catch, check your order cactuspaddles and your wireless card should be listed.
