    Hi,

I got a fairly recent DTR15 from Schenker/MYSN and really love it.

However, there seems to be a problem with the DPC latency, which makes it difficult to use this laptop for music production.

On my previous laptop (Schenker H506) I had no problems with the DPC latency, and I was able to run my audio card (RME Fireface) in 48 sample buffer mode.

With the DTR15, I can barely use 1024 sample buffer, let alone anything smaller.

The biggest cause for DPC latency seems to be APCI.sys. Which is kind of unfortunate, as it probably means that there isn't much that can be done. Here's a screenshot from LatencyMon:

    Anybody with the same problems?

    The rig I got is:
    i7 8700k
    64gb RAM
    EVO 960 Pro
    GTX 1070

    Best regards,
    Sampsa

FYI I have reached out to @snlehton on pm to ask some questions so that we can compare with our internal tests and offer some suggestions. Once an improvement in the performance has been confirmed, I will be able to update the thread here with definitive information :)

P7 systems can handle around 200-300 ms DPC

    ACPI Spikes:
    - Remove Clevo Control Center

    Other DPC causes:
NVIDIA - Switching Power modes can cause DPC, when using it live just disable NVIDIA in the Device Manager or Lock the Power State (plenty of software for that)
WIFI/LAN - Should not be much, but if you need critical low DPC just turn Airplane mode ON

This is what you should get:

And that´s with Fan Control Software, WIFI/LAN on and a variety of other stuff.
