So I have a nasty little problem: my hinge on my screen somehow broke. It looks to be the bolt that holds it in place. Has this happened to anyone and does anyone know who I should contact to see about getting parts so I can fix it?

    Model Sager 5793

Edit: After looking around, I found a few with the same exact problem. :\

I think you're looking for the Alienware forum. :D

That's too bad. I haven't heard anything about that. Hope it's still under warranty.

One of the reasons I bought a Clevo was to have a laptop while I send in an Alienware for that exact problem.

Is it only your model Clevo that has that problem, or did you read that about other models as well?

It's pretty much the M570 series, but generally after 2+ years.

Yah, I've had this a couple months over 2 years.

Sent a PM to Justin@Xoticpc where I bought this from last night so hopefully I can get a response soon. I don't want to damage the other side from trying top open this all the time.

That happened to me. You have to buy the left and the right hinge together. It was $40something with shipping. I was able to sell the hinge I didn't use to another forum user to recoup some of the cost.

Is this a defect in the hardware or something since it is happening to quite a few people?

    Just wear and tear imo.
