I have an issue thats come up on my laptop that I presume is caused by years of opening the lid from the one side rather than the center. As you can see in the video I have linked I have a vertical line on the screen that when you move the screen with very little force the line disappears. In the video I am only holding the bottom left corner while slightly moving the right side.I have taken the screen out to check the 30 pin connector and I cant seem to fix it. Is the screen damaged requiring a new one or can this be fixed?

Also can anyone recommend a good replacement screen if I buy another one? Thanks

Just to add this was purchased a few years back from PC Specialist. Model Optimus VII Pro

On the back of the screen it will have the model, then the likes of ebay will sell a replacement. Just watch out for the phrase "compatible replacement" (It will still have you exact model in the listing) which will mean it will be the cheapest panel they have that will work.

Or just use hwinfo64 to pull the screen info and then head over to panelook.com and find the dimensions of the screen to find an upgrade option. While on panelook you can also just scroll down and find compatible replacements as well.
