Hello, I have a problem with my Sager NP8130. When the laptop is in Sleep mode and I wake it by opening the lid, the system otherwise wakes from sleep but the LCD display does not come on. I have to either press the power button to put it back to sleep and re-wake it, or close the lid and re-open it to get the screen to come on. This happens roughly 10-20% of the time when I open the lid.

Has anyone else encountered this problem or have any ideas?

    Specs:
    Intel i7
    GeForce 560M
    8GB RAM
    Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate

I have a similar problem but mine is a little more disconcerting. When I try to wake by computer up by lifting the lid the power light comes on for about one second and then the laptop crashes completely and I have to boot it up again which of course gives me the "Windows has shut down unexpectedly...." schtick. From what I can tell, this seems t be stemming from issues with the Nvidia graphics drivers. They've also been causing problems with the computer going to sleep. The Computer will turn off the monitor but then it just sits there in some kind of in between sleep and awake, totally unresponsive until after a while it just shuts off.

Mine goes in an out of sleep okay, its just that the display doesn't turn on sometimes with the lid.

I put mine to sleep multiple times a day (I use it at home and take it to work) but once every 3 weeks or so, I see what you describe. If I close and re-open the lid, the screen will work again. It happens so rarely and it's so easy to fix and has no side-effects, so I ignore it. But 10-20% sounds like more of a pain. :/

Try push the laptop screen backwards to a very steep angle (like it is open to 170 degrees), can you see the screen still on but very faintly? (when you think it has crashed)

I just fixed a laptop with this problem, cost me $90 in parts I got from ebay
