Try putting a wide rubber band flat across the head of the screw and use heavy downward pressure as you try to loosen the screw. The rubber band will fill in the wallowed out head and help it grab the screw. That often works. Not always... YMMV.

These are really cheap and weak/soft screws. Buy stainless steel replacements. Also, be sure the screwdriver that you use fits tightly into the screw. If you use one that is too small and does not fill up the slot with a tight fit it makes stripping the heads even easier than with a screwdriver that fits properly.

MXM X-bracket screws used to be M1.6x3.5. Has Clevo finally opted for a more sturdy solution?

    ps.
If the rubber-band trick fails, you could order this micro-bolt extractor. Used it with good results.

If a different size Philips won't grip the screw, and if a flat head screwdriver won't turn it, you can try filing a small slit using a metal file, then use a flat head to fill the slit.

What do you have set for power limits (PL1/PL2)? If you are running it stock, does it do it using BIOS defaults?

Reset BIOS defaults and see if it improves. If it does, try undervolting only without changing power limits from stock. If it still does it, use ThrottleStop and see if that helps. If it does not help, see if the Limit Reasons tool in ThrottleStop shows any yellow or red errors at the time the throttling begins.

PL1 might be too low. You can set it higher. See if that changes the behavior for better or worse. Open the TPL window in ThrottleStop. You can change it there for all of the power limits. If that works, you can set the same value in the BIOS.

Set the top two power limits to like 100 and leave defaults on the bottom two and see if the behavior is the same, better or worse. Be sure ThrottleStop is turned on (red icon instead of green).

Yes. Make note of what they are now and see if increasing them helps. You can also play with the slider to see if moving it left or right helps or hurts, or makes no difference.

As much or as little as you wish. You cannot cause any harm with them, so play around with higher and lower numbers. If nothing changes no matter what values you choose to apply, the issue must be caused by something else.

Maybe if I can find some time this weekend we can hook up with TeamViewer and see if I can figure out why. I have a lot going on, but if it works out I will reach out to you and see if you have time.
