A little problem I've been having since I got the laptop, on graphically intensive, long (vertically) web pages, I get some lag while scrolling.

I'm using the latest (186.03) GPU drivers for my 9800m GTS.

Edit: This has been happening in Adobe/Foxit Reader as well.

I had that on my older laptop which had ATI, but the problem was the GPU driver mate. roll back drivers to see i it makes a difference

This has been happening consistently with all drivers I've installed, all the way back to the original 179.(something) that came with the laptop from Sager.

Someone on NBF said to run a 3DMark06.
    My results are attached.

    Thanks.

    benchmark seems fine.

I recommend to disable smooth scrolling feature... it causes those lags.

Smooth scrolling was always off in FF, but I can't find a way to disable it in Acrobat/Foxit.

I don't like reading PDFs within a browser... so I usually set FF to ask me what I want to do when I click on a PDF (rather than the default setting to open it within the browser).

then I download it somewhere and open it in Acrobat Reader standalone.... performs much better.

... but Acrobat Reader does seem unoptimized most of the time, depend on the content of the PDF as well. I like setting it to "Fit Page", so each scroll increment will move it to the next page. ;)

It's very noticeable if I fire up the Dark Sector manual in pretty much anything.

I could possibly show you in a Fraps movie, but I have no idea how to record one.
