Yup, a new problem with my Clevo M590K (Sager NP5950 / Alienware mALX)...
It's running great and then I decide to enable SLI multi-GPU mode for some benchmarking. I notice no matter what driver settings in the nearly 20+ drivers I tried I get a reddish overlay/tint coming from the secondary display adapter. It flickers usually, from what I can tell from things, due to the SLI mode being used when in Alternate Frame mode. If using Split Screen the bottom half of the screen is as if you're looking through a red-tinted pair of sunglasses. I tried underclocking, overclocking, changing the PCI-E bus speed, changing color adjustments in the drivers, trying different BIOS modifications via Nibitor and flashing, even adjusting the memory timings within the GPU. Nothing is working.
Anyone have any clue how to fix this issue? I heard this use to be a problem some time ago with desktop SLI setups, and the fix was to remove the SLI Bridge/Link. I dont think this is possible on the Clevo M590K as I dont see where they're even linked. I don't think it's a hardware issue, and can be fixed via software, and I take precautions when installing NVidia drivers by uninstalling drivers and going to safe mode, etc. I tried laptopvideo2go drivers, XG, NGO, Nvidia reference/betas, and Clevo / Alienware OEM Nvidia drivers. I also tried quite a few NForce4 AMD Series drivers for the chipset.
This is a really strange issue, and I wonder if its occuring on most peoples mALX / m590K's but they never enabled multi-GPU / profile modes for SLI and never encounter this. If so, what would cause it on my end of things.![]()
Any help and suggestion is welcome! Thanks.

That's a bizarre issue, I've never heard of anything like it. Nothing came up through numerous Google.com searches either. If games are running fine and the only problem you are having is the reddish tint, somehow I doubt the problem is hardware-related as well. Usually you'll know right away if there is a problem with the hardware.
Well, I'd email Sager tech support about this right away (or whatever brand yours is). I think you have done all you can to fix it. -
Hi Chaz, I fixed my issue and posted on slizone the following:
EDIT: I fixed my issue with red flashing as described above by doing the following:
Opened up the M590K notebook and swapped the two MXM 7900GTX's.
I think the issue was a badly connected GPU, and when I swapped them it let me reseat them properly.
Second GPU in NP5950 (M590K/mALX) displays red overlay in SLI! Fix?
