Which one is the best to place a 320GB WD hdd in the D901c? Under thefirst one or under the battery?

Knowing that you have a 200 GB 7200 RPM, I would probably just put it in the secondary bay. The 200 GB 7200 RPM drive is comparable to the 320 GB 5400 RPM WD drive, so it'd be a waste of time transferring all of your files to the newer drive. If you're willing to simply clone the drive, then I would use the 320 GB one as my main drive. It just depends on what you're willing to do.

Seagate 7200.3 is already out. Average ~68MB/s, Seek ~16.Xms. Much better than 7200.2. ;)

    Hello,

Thank your for your answers. I need the secondary disk for data storage, mainly for work. For the moment I tried in the bay below baterry, but it seems quite slow. It took all night to transfer approximately 130 GB. The big files are transfered with an average of 3.5 MB per second, while the 200 GB hdd was transferring with 40 MB per second. Would the transfer speed go higher if I would just put it near the main hdd? Right now the external hdd on firewire seems faster than my secondary disk. I will need in a few days to transfer about 200 GB of data.

The new hdd, seems nice, but noe I already bought a WD so I will stivk for awhile with these that I already have. I am broke, maybe latter I will try it.
