i just got this warning message on the Kobalt Computers website

"There is a problem with this website's security certificate.

The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority.
The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website's address.

Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server.

We recommend that you close this webpage and do not continue to this website."

i got it when i pressed checkout, i hoping i would be able to find out the delivery cost but to my surprise i got this warning and now im a bit fearful of giving you my bank details when i buy the laptop i was looking at.

i was wondering i have never got this messege before what does it mean other then it saying that i shouldnt go forward

It means that the browser does not recognize the certificate. It should be ok as long as you get there from the main website www.kobaltcomputer.co.uk. If you are in doubt of the wepage call tham or send email maybe. Neil can put some light on this on tuesday when the holidays are over.

As Andrew has said on our forum we have had a problem with our ISP today - for some reason the SSL certificate is mis-behaving. It has been reported and we are waiting for it to be fixed. No biggie.

Here is a copy of his reply earlier today:

I've just had a look through our server and something has gone wrong with the security certificate. I can assure you we have had 3 years of problem free payments through the site and this is the first time we have had any issues. Until I make an annoucement please do NOT place an order until this is fixed as it is unsecure. I have left a message with our web host and I hope to get it fixed asap, obviously with the bank holiday I cannot say if it will be before Tuesday. Please accept my apologies for this.
