Hi, I've done a fair bit of reading and realize many others have been having the same problem as me.

That is, the 7970m is not fully utilized in many games due to enduro and as such it performs poorly, even more so than my older laptops.

I was just wondering if there was any way to disable the integrated card on the np9170 as of yet, or any other way out there that I might have missed to solve this problem

    Thank you!

Sadly consensus seems to be "cross fingers and hope AMD's drivers get better" for now. Only M17x's have the ability to disable the integrated graphics atm afaik.

That being said, I've heard that the last 12.11 beta driver release and 13.1 WHQL driver releases do a decent job shoring up some of the enduro issues.

Nope. The Alienware BIOS has the option, but at the moment, I don't think MSI has a model with a BIOS that allows for enabling/disabling Enduro.

OP: You can also try the 13.2 BETA driver. There's not much of a difference, but here have been some minor hotfixes/patches to it.
