Has anyone purchased case badges for their computer? e.g: Intel i7, nvidia, or AMD/ATI stickers. The palm rest is blank except for the HDMI and THX logos and doesn't have any other branding. I can understand that if someone bought an AMD Radeon HD they would want to have a way of showing it off and preventing the inevitable "Oh where did you get that old thing, super liquidation ultra wholesale?" conversation.

So what do you guys think about adding your own branding?

Considering that's the first thing I pull off a new laptop I'm probably not the best person to ask but I'm sure you could find those stickers somewhere online if not eBay. The resellers might also be able to give you a set; if they're not applying them they probably end up throwing them out.

Heck no. That's part of what sold me on a Sager laptop. I want nothing on it, no badges of any kind. I like the perfectly sleek, no advertising, look. That little HDMI badge will come off as soon as it gets here.

Understated looks are great, and timeless.

Besides, I don't buy laptops as fashion statements. I buy them to play games, and play them well.

what no, I want everyone to think I have an old POS that isn't worth stealing and weighs 50 lbs

I might even set the colo scheme to classic to aid in this facade

I could see someone having fun with some old Celeron, etc logo stickers. lol Watch for double-takes when the rare few notice the HD screen playing cutting edge games. :)

Thank's for the responses everyone. I myself prefer the nice clean look as well. I was interested in seeing what everyone's opinions where on badge cases. Apple leaves a large amount of money on the table because they leave Intel's stickers off their computers clean surfaces.

Black Intel i7 stickers do have some allure...

But not enough to buy one and turn your palm rest into a billboard! :D
