Thanks to everyone who helped on my last thread when I was about to get 8170!

Now ordered 8150 after weeks of debate in my head, am planning on using my current ssd for OS drive, does the 1.8 " fit or do I need bracket?

Retailer has said eBay if required, but what am I looking for.

    Am in Australia.

    Thanks again forum peeps

Thanks. Ssd is Intel i80gb g2 and is SATA so adapter not required.
May look into bracket if I feel its unstable once notebook arrives .

Anyone else have experience plugging an ssd in ?

Most people have 2.5" SSDs that are the same as the regular notebook harddrive size so it's straightforward. I have an SSD in mine.

The system comes with a clear plastic piece that screws into the sides of 2.5" drives to help you pull the drive out of the bay and also helps stability. You won't be able to use this with a 1.8" drive.

Also, the drive is held in by the plastic cover on the bottom of the case which is sized for .5" drives as well. You may be able to simply stuff something in there (a piece of plastic the size of an eraser) to make up for the length between a 1.8" drive and the part of the plastic lid that holds the 2.5" drives down.
