Alright I know this is a bit of a stupid question but ever since I installed Win 7 I have noticed my mousepad being supersensitive. I will be typing away and sometimes I am sure that my hand does not touch the pad but my cursor will move and get clicked and messes everything up while I am typing. I know this sounds medial however it's driving me freakin nuts.
Does anyone know if the sensitivity can be reduced in Win 7 or if there is anything else I can do here?

Use an USB-mouse and disable the touchpad. Or just disable the touchpad while typing.

u may use the latest driver from Synaptics for Vista, and there are options for u 2 adjust the sensitivity of your mouse pad, however, the best choice is using a usb external mouse.

Yup try adjusting the settings in the driver.

Also if you have hotkeys installed try Fn + F1 when you type and undo every time your done .. bit inconvenient though

Er... actaully I find that in both vista and 7, the mousepad is too insensitive. And changing the settings inthe drivers get reset after every restart.

thanks everyone, I use an external mouse on occasion but I will search once again for newer drivers. It would just be a pain in the arse to disable the pad all the time. But thanks for the input.

I run a program called Touch Freeze (2megs of memory) to disable my touchpad while I type. It's fixed any (relatively minor) issues I had with the touchpad being too sensitive (and my typing skipping around). And yeah, I don't touch the touchpad while I type either and noticed my typing skipping around. Possible circuit flaw? :/
