Has anyone tried to use an adapter from a ThinkPad Lenovo to add a second
hard drive to to M570RU or any other laptop? I think the sata conection
should work but i dont know about the fit.
-
Not all Lenovo NBs use a generic connection, so it maybe not fit.
-
edit: never mind
-
Does it work?
-
thanks bhattsan, i did search the forum and didnt find anything other then the thinkpad adapter...
Oh yea the m750ru is very nice, i didnt expect such quality. -
Does it work???
I think Fade to Black actually asked this a gazillion times before...but...well, I might even consider losing the dvdwriter for a while if that would get me 320 gb of more space -
...anybody willing to be guinea pigs?
-
So I guess you posted it just for the sake of the post...
Probably will not work. Maybe Justin or Donald can answer this question. -
Just got a reply back from rjtech. They say their m570u bay would not work for the m570ru.

Thanks for that. Darn. I guess they don't use the same drive bays. But I remember seeing an earlier post where someone replaced their optical drive bay with an hdd, and assumed they were using this.
-
No, he was using some Chinese ****, which wasn't 100% compatible.
-
I read that post as well, i think he said the cover wasnt fitting quiet right...
hey lndnny did rjtech say weather it was incompatible b/c of the connection or
the mounting hardware? I think if its the mounting hardware i could probably mod
it... -
No idea. The email came back with, quote:
"no"
That was all they had said.

I smell a conspiracy here...don't you?

*mushrooms are kept in the dark and fed manure -
I still wonder why wouldn't it work...if it has the same dimensions as this mode's DVD-RW.
