Should I Do An Unboxing Video?

My Mythlogic Pollux 1611 is to be shipped out this Monday. It will be going to my friend in the states and then up to me. I was thinking about doing an unboxing video for all of you so you could see everything you get out of the box from Mythlogic for your Pollux.

If you guys want me to do this just let me know and I'll make an attempt at an unboxing video for all of you here once my laptop arrives. I've never done one before but I'm sure it's not hard by any means. :p

To make at least one person happy is worth it! I'll give it a shot when it it finally gets here. Can't wait! :D

BTW noticed on your YouTube channel you seem to be quite the game collector. By the looks of it you probably have a bigger collection then me but I've been told I have quite the large collection myself! (Sadly just sold a little over 100 of my games but still got a good number)

Thanks! Yea i do love the gaming, and i play everything i collect...i'm not one of those people who buys and buys then throws it in the pile. Though i have quite a few in my backlog i need to beat.

I got the exact same problem. Work has got me tied up for a lot of my time so it's hard to beat em as fast they come in. I have a terrible backlog it's over 50 games for sure....possibly closer to 100..

My backlog isn't too big, maybe like 10-15% of my collection...only problem is that it mostly consists of RPGs so the time i need to devote to beating them i think is almost 6-12 months in hours...i think i averaged all the rpgs by like 50 hours each and thats the number i came up with lol.

You're like my double it's kinda creepy lol. I have quite a few RPGs I have to touch and I know that alone will take a LONG time. Every time I take out a game I swear two new one's take it's place. If I'm not getting them it's a gift from my girlfriend or something.

And thanks to your Dead Space 2 unboxing I am glad I never went for that collector's edition. I was going to buy it for that "awesome" plasma cutter replica which I see fell way short of my expectations lol.

Lol it happens. I went with the Duke Nukem Forever: Balls of Steel Edition instead. And so I wait some more :p.

Hope to have the laptop in my hands sometime within the next couple weeks. Will be glad to make the unboxing video for you and anyone else who happens to be interested.

Hmm i wonder what would be more worth it, the DLC pack or using the $10 amazon credit i have to get the game for $80.

Big head mode is always funny. Kinda an old school cheat staple. Sucks they make it DLC nowadays rathr than a cheat.

Very true. I had no problems deciding between the two as I had a $25 gift card to EB.

I kinda wish there was old cheats back in games. Not in the sense of cheats to help you to win but one's that can make the game quirky and fun. Never was a fan of cheats unless I had already beat the game legitimately so I could use them to fool around.

Dang I would have liked to see the case that comes with the np8170. But yeah anything to watch would be good. Especially since there isn't much up on youtube.

But yeah decayed you think you could do an unboxing when yours comes in? :) heard yours shipped... lucky man.

That is what I am hoping. Oh and decayed can you make sure to show off the case a little. I haven't seen the default case yet and I am debating whether or not I should go and buy a case or if this one will work. I will mainly need it for the airport but will also sometimes use it to move my laptop around campus. (College student)

    Thanks

Pretty funny hearing your guys video game conversation and how much time you feel like you have to put aside for RPGs. That's the whole reason I don't buy any of the newer RPGs, I swear you have to devote your life to those things to beat them in a reasonable amount of time.

It's true and that's why I haven't gotten around to them. I just don't have the free time to devote to such long games right now. Dug myself a pretty deep hole waiting on them though.....I'll get around to it one day.

All depends on if you think you'd want the bonus or not while you play. Besides because of what the content is I wouldn't be surprised if it became a DLC pack later that you could buy, except for the Ego Boost thing of course.

I find the First Access Club rather useless right now. There's some wallpapers that's about it. I'm just waiting for them to get the demo access going.

Yeh, I could never get into rpg's because of that, especially mmo's, yikes!

FPS, may not have as much content, and take a lot of graphics, but I enjoy any game I can jump right into, and show up even the high ranks. FPS you can really play 3-4 at a time and still have fun, but rpgs your kinda stuck with one, and the learning curve and grind, especially for mmo's, just turns me off. Adventure games, Platformers, and RTS I like too.

I feel this way a lot of the time as well. I used to be huge into rpgs as a teenager but nowadays i can't find the time. I have the desire to be into them still but the results aren't as i hoped. I usually stick to quick and satisfying FPS and action/adventure games.

This is exactly what I've been playing more of as I get older. One of the facts being that I just don't have time as we've said. The other being that I actually miss 2D RPGs. I find they were much more enjoyable then the newer 3D ones.

How much was customs into Ontario, as a 10% of sales (and was there HST?) from Mythlogic.

    Thanks!!

I'm having it sent to buddy in the States and he's going to get it to me. I would've had to pay 13% upon delivery plus whatever other charges there might've been as far as I know (I asked Myth and they said there would be GST and now all we have is HST so automatic 13% :(). Don't really want to pay another $300+.

Of course being in Ontario I'm pretty close to Mythlogic in a sense. If I had to the time I'd just drive there and pick it up and save myself the hassle.

    Hi ZahariasX!

    Just a shorty.

I already got my Pollux 1611 just before the week ended! Seems you're still waiting for yours, huh??? :p Anyway, I took a video while unboxing. Then, off to a busy weekend! I'll be checking in with the video in a day or two... Along of course with my first impressions. And pictures too!

In the meantime, keep your fingers crossed... ;)
